Looks cool, maybe slightly hot on the highlights for my tastes but nicely done. I keep meaning do a similar shot I have in my head but due to having hyperactive cats, makes it difficult to set things up and not just spend the whole time saying 'shoo, pssshhhhh'. :rolleyes:

I quite like when you do those over-contrasty portraits. Would that not work on the street busker?
 
I think it probably would! But choosing between 2 styles of the same picture is a pain in the bum as I just can't decide :p

I opted to only use monochrome for that one though as people like that with defined features on their face (his eyes + facial hair) look best in non colour!

Also I just cannot unsee the fact that his right eye is closer to his nose than his left eye!!!
 
I've been interested in photograhy for a while now and was lucky enough for a friend to lend me his Canon 40d. I've been taking a few shots of my little boy, which I'm quite happy with but I'd thought I would post here for your opinions.

I've since purchased a Canon 1100d with 18-55mm lens which I can't wait to get hold of :-) I've seriously got the bug :-)

My missus has one (which I "borrow" a lot), and you can get some great shots out of it.
