In terms of photos yeah it's been a couple of months. I had a lung operation (had a spontaneous pneumothorax... three times. Basically my left lung had a hole in it and collapsed a few times) so I haven't been able to carry a camera for a while. I've been reasonably active on the forums for most of that time though, although a fair bit in the mobile phones section and GD rather than here.

Still, flattering that I'm recognised or at least that my absence was felt :D

I wasn't aware of that. Hmm I don't really like clicky link images though, so I think I'll just keep using the URL and then if I get banned or something I'll just swap to imgur or something else for hosting.

If I may offer some advice (feel free to ignore it, others do and I know this isn't a critique thread :) )

'through the bonnet' shots from the front are a bit overdone now (like fake flare) and I've seen way too many where it's just been taken dead on at slightly elevated position.

If you're going to do a shot like that, find a new angle, personally I'd go higher up, front 3/4. See those containers? Get on top of one and shoot down. The background is also fighting for attention so isolating the car would be better if the focus (arf) is the engine.

Don't even get me started on HDR'ing car photos. :)

Yeah pretty much back to normal now, I'm back at school and caught up okay. Got my scars but no real pain any more. Got a few shoots organised for Easter so hopefully those go well enough to post some here :)
