Mrk - is that reflection of the watch from the surface of the material you're using or something edited in later? Hard to tell if it's just a bit of white card or some kind of plastic from the shot you've shown :)

I didn't really mind that the minute hand was in the way buy I guess if it was a proper product shoot then I'm sure they'd want the logo showing hehe

Reflection was added :p

It is a nice shot. However If you're going to watch photography you need to set the watch to 10 minutes past 10. It is the watch equivalent of the rule of thirds - it just has to be done.

Didn't realise this but for next time I'll know!

Might as well post these here too! Although not anywhere as good as most of the shots in here but I am pretty pleased with the results since they were taken on a HTC one S and I am a complete utter noob with lightroom, editing etc. in general :o :p

EDIT:

BTW is there a good guide/thread on lightroom and general editing etc. in this sub-forum? :)

With flower shots a bigger sensor + longer lens = best due to throwing out the background, that is what will make such shots what they are really. this won't be possible on a phone sadly!

As for Lightroom, hundreds of guides on what to tweak around in Lightroom, start at the basic tools and understanding what they do then play around, the best way to learn them is to find stuff in it you don't know much about then play with it, then read up on it and it sort of comes together after that stage - I found anyway!

Went to brands Hatch this weekend and got some shots I was happy with. First time attending any motoring event on a track.

Panning with the cars is not as easy as it seems :o

True :( I might have to look at some proper camera equipment ;) Never thought that I would end up tweaking so many photos as I have lately but currently I love the fiddling about, trying different things out and overall just improving quality by quite a bit especially reducing noise!

Yeah, I must have watched about 30 youtube videos and read 10 guides in the last few days :o (they were only specific to certain scenarios though i.e. sunsets)

Was just wondering if someone here had made a good guide with tips etc. :)

I jumped straight into the developer tools! :D Got a pretty good idea of what does what in the developer panel, I think........ :p

Three more photos, first one was done using the depth of field filter/effect in the stock camera app:
