Exposure looks slightly too long on that, which EXIF confirms. It's a nice shot, but 30s exposure means you're going to have some motion blur in stars. Think you can officially get away with 20s max.

Cheers buddy I didn't know that, I was under the impression you had 30 seconds before that started happening, It's also not on a tripod which doesn't help lol

Some pics of the Great City Games from last weekend in Manchester. First time I've taken the DSLR out to an event. Was with friends so couldn't focus on the photos as much as I'd have liked, but didn't do that badly considering I'm a total novice! Learnt a lot about my camera though.

Speedway tonight - GB vs. Australia at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich. I picked this one out of a few decent shots, but my 5D2 - even with a 70-200 f/2.8 - is really starting to feel limited in low light now.

The second one is crying out for a much longer exposure to get some sense of movement into the picture.

It was taken through a fence, I tried stopping down to add a bit of motion but I ended up with a fence smudging half the picture.
