100f? That's only like 40c or something, lol that's nothing at all.james.miller said:thats quite impressive really. 108 hours in a 100f + temperature. very few eletrical devices can claim that lol.

Yeah I thought that was the temperature of the console at first.5bjoshua said:You go in a 40*C heat and say that!
I was in france when there was that heatwave that killed a few thousand people and that was well hot! Think it was 40*C to 45*C.
Josh
10 degrees is quite a lot y'know!Jihad said:Yeah I thought that was the temperature of the console at first.
Still, not that big a deal, I played my PS3, 360, Xbox, PS2, GC in a room that gets up to 30c in the summer, I doubt another 10 degrees or so would make too big a difference.

I would rather have a reliable gun with a small amount of ammo than a gun that has boxes of ammo but has a 30% chance of locking up when your right in the middle of a gun fight!slambo69 said:What would you rather have, a reliable gun with no ammo, or a semi reliable gun with plenty of ammo?

Hey I don't think it's bad either, I just don't think it's anything to rave about, we shouldn't have to have tests done on a console like this in the first place.msmalls74 said:I don't think the PS3 does bad at all.
I would go back to the green grocers if I were you jihad - sounds like a case of sour grapes to meJihad said:Hey I don't think it's bad either, I just don't think it's anything to rave about, we shouldn't have to have tests done on a console like this in the first place.
The only reason these tests were done is because the 360 has a cooling error, didn't really need someone doing a test, we can see the tiny % of faulty PS3s indicates it's reliable.

Off topic I know, but good job with that PS3 sticky msmalls, when do you think you will have it finished by?msmalls74 said:It started at 100 (38c) and went up to 120 (49c) for the last 24 hrs, consider that even DVD player, that has similar moving parts inside but without the heat generated by high speed processor and a GPU operating temp spec is between 5c-40c, I don't think the PS3 does bad at all.
