Do you leave the memory clock?
Is that stock fan and fan profile?
Thanks for the help.
Ah ok.You might be able to run the memory at 545.
I'm using a Fury X remember, so i can leave the fan speed running slowly and temperatures remain low.

Running Aidia 64 now, 100% GPU load and the nano at
-36mV
+50 Power
1050 Core
500 memory
96% Fan speed
and its at 80 degree, if i swap it to default fan map it goes to abotu 82% fan speed and sits at 84 degree.
How hot do you push these cards? Should I try increasing the clock next or see how low i can push the voltage first? Can't find nay overclocking guides my voltage is reduced rather than added when the increased clock causes instability. Loving the chance to learn, thanks for the help.
So I've got
- 30 mV
+50 power
1075 core
545 memory
(stuck fan at 100%)
and ran a few benchmarks, it got the highest Firestrike graphics score i ever had with this card (my CPU is auto overclocked by my BIOS and i think its tweaked something which has reduced my combined and physics score) all seems pretty stable at the moment (weird squares still remain at idle), real test will come with far cry primal and the like during the week

That's good going.
Thanks.
My artefacts at idle seem to be getting worse though, is it worth a return or are all nano the same?
Thanks.

Can you try updating to the Crimson 16.3 driver? Run DDU first to uninstall your current drivers.
In Radeon Settings disable Power Efficiency and see if that has any effect on the issue.

It looks like is not there on R9 Nano. Mine doesn't have that Power option and I use 16.3 after uninstalling 16.2, DDU and clean install.

Thanks, I'll look into this.
The power efficiency setting does not apply to the Nano and R9 2xx.
Please let me know if you are experiencing any issues with clock fluctuation with +50% power set in Overdrive.
So running the overlay like you asked, sits quite happy at 1050 core clock with no fluctuation.
Couldn't handle a 1075 clock when running games (crashed just trying to launch FC: Primal) gonna try pushing the memory clock another day.
Is it worth try to find a setting between 1050 and 1075? Or go up on the voltage? It sits nicely in mid 60s when gaming now or 80s when benching
Have you tried the settings wrote before?
-42mv, +21% is enough to get run the card at 1050, while cutting heat.
