The Radeon RX 5700 XT Owners Thread.

I had a terrible experience with the Gigabyte 5700XT and was very unstable a few months ago and really want to give AMD another chance.

To be fair my first 5700XT was a Aorus one and I could not get that thing stable, my red devil has been rock solid

The Red Devil was cheaper than some of the second hand options and have heard nothing but good reports, recommended?

Yeah I'd recommend it or the nitro+, both are cream of crop imo, I recently liquid metal'ed mine and it's stable at 2150mhz ingame now (2229 in drivers iirc)

Glad to hear those drivers are finally sorted, I've just had a look at the drivers myself over at AMD and I noticed the Known Issues area is very small when compared to a few months ago! Very tempted to just pull the trigger rather than wait a few more months for the RT versions.

The XFX THICC III Ultra. Very nice card actually. Extremely quiet. I guess they had to make up for botching the THICC II version.

It's either the Red Devil or the Nitro+. But I got a soft spot for the Powercolor, VEGA 56 Red Dragon never let me down!

How do they compare to the 2070S now since drivers have been improved?

I got the 5700xt late on probably 4 months ago , I gotthe Nitro+ se for £280 used never had any issues other than trying to push the overclocks too much :p

Hardware Unboxed pitted them against each other again a few months ago. Long story short, the 5700 XT is 6% slower at 1080p and 7% slower at 1440p. Not bad really, considering the price gap.

Just watched them now, I'd wait it out till the 3070 and Navi cards release but you know how that fiasco is going right now. I've gone without a card for just over a month and got £600 to spend on one.

Could buy a cheap used card til big Navi or 3080 is available ?

Yeah I was thinking along those lines, might hold out another 2 weeks and see where the land lies. Tempted by the Red Devil though and say screw it.

It is a good card especially if you liquid metal it, but I think you lose warranty
