The Radeon RX 5700 XT Owners Thread.

FYI tonight tested some new settings. 1800/930mv with 1800Mhz ram. Lost 5% fps but the card sips power at sub 120W, while reduced temps to sub 65C range while benching.

Need to put the damn block which is waiting since August, but can't be bothered as the card is nice, without coil whine and pretty quiet as only the moving air is audible and no different than any AIB card has before like the 1080Ti Xtreme.

Reference? Yes. But you can improve by undervolting or raising bit the fan speed.

Here. "old" 900Mhz is 1800 with the latest drivers. (turned off GPU tuning so it could fit on 1 screen :D )

But must say I love the new UI, especially because we can enter set values and not fiddling with the points and curves :D

Who needs 3rd party software ffs.... oh forgot, Nvidia users :D

Got the Sapphire Nitro+ Special Edition card now With those temps.

What FPS you get and what graphical setting have the same card the special edition one.
Most things high, texture quality ultra, reflections medium and shadows low. I always set shadows to low as they offer the biggest boost and I don't notice the difference.
FPS look a bit bad:
driver:2020-19.12.1
min 30.38
Max 81.01
Average: 59.89

driver: 2020-19.12.2
min 31.62
Max 75.5
Average: 59.89

max temp: 63C, hot spot 73C so temps look good.
Just updated driver to new one, it was buggy for my FuryX but will test it for 5700

After 24 hours of use I am very happy with the sapphire 5700XT nitro+, it's very cool and quiet and have not had any issues using the latest drivers. Have tried RDR2, Diablo 3, Borderlands 3, NFS Heat and Ghost Recon Breakpoint and all run very wel. The biggest improvement over my FuryX is in Ghost Recon Breakpoint as it uses a lot of VRAM.

Anyone else have a Gigabyte 5700 XT gaming OC? I'm having intermittent issues where the gpu usage is up at 99% but ghost recon breakpoint is seriously struggling at 1080p ultra. Also the 3rd fan on the cooler (closest to the front of the case) is wonky. Csnt see it when the speed is ramped up but at slow speeds can see the fan isnt spinning flat

I had 45 min go on ghost recon breakpoint after installing my sapphire 5700XT and its super smooth @1200p, had a quick look at settings and most if not all are on very high. What CPU do you have?

2600x, 16gb 3000mhz ram. New corsair RM 750x psu bought at same time as gpu. When looking at the onboard monitoring the cpu utilisation never goes above 50%.

I would drop the settings down to very high as the difference is not a big deal for me, I prefer very smooth very high to not so smooth ultra, also the card runs cool and quiet. You could just drop shadows down to high, that might be enough as shadows hammer the CPU and GPU.

Just had a hard lockup playing ghost recon breakpoint, screen went into suspend, had to hold the power button to reset the system. Have over 100 hours on this game with a Fury X and that never happened?

Had the same on Civ VI, only happened once, but only with the new updates, probably a one off, will keep an eye on it.

Hey guys, I had a Powercolor 5700 XT and I had to RMA it due to no display after a month or so, It started to lose signal, but all of a sudden it went black screen with Red VGA led on. The retailer replaced it today.
This month that I've had no GPU, I got a second hand Nvidia 760 or something to use in the meantime, and everything was perfectly fine.
Today I DDU both the old AMD drivers (which i kept when installing the nvidia ones, and had no issues) and the nvidia ones, popped in the card and installed the new drivers from AMD (tried both with the auto updater whilst connected to LAN, and using the actual drivers without being online), and everything seems fine, benchmarks are good, etc.
ISSUE: When I restart the PC from windows, I get the black screen again with RED VGA led on , so basically it doesn't recognise the card on restart. If I power it off and on again, it starts without any issues 100% of the time.
The only thing I tried is reslotting the RAM and removing the battery on the motherboard. My Bios is like 6 months old, but was never an issue as it worked both with the old 5700xt and the crappy nvidia, and my processor is 7 2700x, so no need for the 3k series Bios.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Cheers!!
system: ryzen 7 2700x hyperx 16gb 3333mx (using xmp), psu corsair 850x, powercolor 5700xt,

Different system, but when I use xmp I seem have lot of issues so I manually set the timings of RAM and also purchased a new club3d DP 1.4 cable and havnt had a black screen since.

Cheers for the reply. Sorry if i was not clear enough. so with my initial 5700XT I was using XMP without any issues, and with my new one the same, I tried stock MHZ and profile 1 and 2. The idea is that the card works great if I power on the PC now, but only fails to boot after a restart from Windows (Start -> Restart at which point the red VGA Led turns on on my B450 MSI carbon mobo) which tells me that maybe it tries to boot the integrated graphics chipset which my cpu doesn't have? But then why when powering it on it works? I have been always using a bios from july and worked fine so far.

Have same mobo and also have had issues, are you running the latest bios?
