Hi mate, nope, have a bios from july I believe. But very weird if the same bios worked with my 1st 5700xt and suddenly has issues with the 2nd one, right? At least thats my thinking. I'll update the bios today and let you know, but if you have any other ideas, happy to give them a go

I've seen stranger things lol had update bios for red dead redemption 2 to work

Fair play to u. I guess some things work in mysterious ways as they say. I'm quite new in this PC world, so guess logic is not always the answer

Best of luck to you mate. my Red devil 5700XT (not water cooled) made me regret the day I did not get Nvidia.

My Red Devil has been great after I sorted the initial crashing issue.

Is anyone else experiencing the Black Screen issues with their 5700XT?

I bought a brand new PowerColor Radeon RX 5700XT Red Devil, with a brand new Corsair RMx 750W 80+ Gold PSU and I'm seeing these black screens :/ very frustrating. Should I just contact OC for an exchange?

Hmmm., interesting. Were you seeing the black screen issue, or BSOD? I have set all mine to Auto to let the mobo handle it. I'd imagine that those auto timings would be pretty loose anyway?

also if you are on a non-x570 board make sure you set the PCI to gen3 rather than leave it on automatic.

Just got my ASrock 5700XT Reference card and EKWB. Really pleased with it. Running stock voltage 2090 core 3800 ram. Temps sit around 50c full load. 30c Idle

Coming from a lower spec 1070 with EKWB which was OCd to high heaven and sometimes struggling, this is right on the money @ 3440x1440 100Hz Freesync
Just playing a bit of COD MW and getting a bit competitive hence the upgrade to push those pixels.

So, on my shiny new Ryzen 3 PC from overclockers with a Sapphire 5700XT I am getting 4 second black screens which interrupt my gaming or browsing.
I have tried 19.12.2 19.12.1 19.11.3 and 19.7.5
19.7.5 gives me a blue screen. The rest give me the 4 second black screen with 19.12.1 being the least frequent.
Does anyone have any answers.

LATE NEWS: 19.12.3 installed with an initial factory reset and no black screens after 2 hours of play so far!

I have the gigabyte 5700 XT Gaming OC and suffering from crashes whilst playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Played Star Ware Jedi: Fallen order for about 40 minutes and had no issues, i've heard of folk having issues after a couple of hours playing. Seems like its just 5700XT's in general and not to a specific brand thats having issues.

I went back to 19.10.1 as I was getting blue screens and crashes with the 2020 edition.

Let me guess, you are using DP cable came with your monitor?
Go to Settings -> Display -> Overrides (right hand side bottom) set Swing 1 and Pre-Emphasis 2. Reboot and let us know how it goes.

If issue continues use the very latest DDU in windows safe mode (paramount), install 19.12.3 and put the settings above.
Then let us know how it goes.
And do not use MSI AB or RTSS they aren't compatible with 19.12.x drivers.

Ok did you used latest DDU in windows safe mode before you upgraded to 19.12.x? This step is paramount, even myself had problems upgrading from 19.11 without DDU. And had no other issue with the card since got it July 17th.

In addition we need more information about the crash error, drivers you use and settings. eg on 19.12.2 enhanced sync isn't working, need to use 19.12.3.

And hoping you aren't using MSI AB and RTSS as they aren't updated to work with 19.12 drivers.

Just upgraded my HIS HD 7950 to a Powercolor Red Dragon 5700 XT. It's bottlenecked by my i5 3570k (which I'll be upgrading to a 3700x) but I'm really impressed for now. It's driving my Samsung SJ55W 34" ultrawide and I'm extremely pleased with it.
