Can't tell you how fluid Call of Duty feels at 400 FPS, 5800X3D just provides so much extra grunt here for the 6900 XTXH compared to my 5950X.

What sort of screen are you using to notice a difference at that level? Or is it smoother due to increased minimums? Can't tell you how fluid Call of Duty feels at 400 FPS, 5800X3D just provides so much extra grunt here for the 6900 XTXH compared to my 5950X.
At 60Hz...I have no idea honestly, I've mainly been playing Final Fantasy with it
120HZ OLED, but as COD is competitive getting higher FPS gives you an advantage. You can tell just by watching how fluid it looks, did you notice that? Even though the video is 60HZ. It actually makes me want a 360HZ display tbh. What sort of screen are you using to notice a difference at that level? Or is it smoother due to increased minimums?
It's not that it's struggling per se, it's just it was not fast enough to keep my 6900 XT overclocked fully utilised in this scenario.I understand the competitive element requiring high fps, but didn't think the 5950x was struggling in this regard at all. Honestly, I watched a few sections rather than the whole thing and then just asked the question.
From memory, it doesn't appear particularly smoother to me, but that might change with a back to back. Don't think you can go wrong with either processor, they both smash through this.
Just did this and... Yep, the difference is pretty noticeable. The 5800x3d is like butter!Have a look at this video below as an example. I recommend watching this side by side with mine above and you'll see the difference in FPS.
Edited my post a little Bill. Rather than link to someone elses video just realised I uploaded one with the 5950X and a 6900 XT.Just did this and... Yep, the difference is pretty noticeable. The 5800x3d is like butter!
