Thanks for the information. What is the reliability like in real world use? You hear lots of doom and gloom about driber issues, freezes and crashes etc or framerate drops. Part of me is also interested in potentially in future upgrading to new amd cpu (will see how ddr5 and new range goes etc) to see if SAM is good.
Just dont get it if you play warzone, they've still not fixed the stuttering and frame drop issues sadly. You can kind of get around the issues but they're not great work arounds, only thing that really improves things is running lowest texture quality. Between AMD and Activision you would have thought they'd have fixed the problem by now.

ok. is this just Warzone? im not much into battle royale games. mainly play likes of RDR2, GTAs, Souls games and the occasional FPS.

Just upgraded from the 5700XT sapphire to the 6950XT sapphire pure and wow is it a beast! 3 slots and the white goes well with my case theme. <3
Got a GPU score of 10,773 in time spy extreme and 22,062 in normal with a slight memory tune and the OC bios switch position.

No GPU sag on that bad boy is impressive! Cracking card and build btw.

That issue is listed as a Known Issue and is under investigation. Debug is ongoing so I'm hopeful it should get resolved eventually in a game update. @cityfaninlondon, that issue pertains to one particular map only, Caldera. Rebirth, Verdansk, Fortunes Keep etc are all perfectly fine in Warzone. I should also add that it does not affect everyone, but it does affect some users unfortunately.

I have no stuttering or FPS drop issues on Caldera, either at minimum or maximum settings.
Here is COD at 4K running on my 6950 XT with a 450W power limit.
The 5800X3D and the 6950 XT averaging 216 FPS with 1% low of 127 in a 30 minute Caldera benchmark at 4K low settings.

Can confirm this only effected me on Caldera. Other maps played absolutely fine and FPS with a 6900xt was noticeably better than my current 3090. Good to know AMD are actively working on Caldera though, even if WZ1 is reaching the end of it's lifecycle with WZ2 around the corner.

its weird thing this. 1 it having been so long since i have been waiting (october 2020) so you think i would be a bit more decided by now. 2 - either the 3080 or 6950xt or 6900xt or 6800xt are going to be a massive massive improvement on my 970 (which i will likely keep as a memento - it has served me very well and run nearly everything albeit at lowest settings atm on many) 3 - everything has issues. I am sure Nvidia cards have their problems as well 4 - im probably just being over cautious with hte potential issues

Does anyone know if the pump speed on the Sapphire Toxic LC can be controlled? I went for this with the intention of keeping my system silent, but the AIO pump can be heard quite clearly when just on the desktop. Sounds similar to my previous NZXT pump when that was running 100%.

Also had a right mare with drivers and the coil whine on this thing is absurd... not best pleased with this purchase!

Took the plunge on the reference AMD Radeon RX6950XT. It had dropped another £50 to below £800, its going to be more than sufficient for my needs for several years to come. Visually a nice looking card, all black with some silver accents and a bit shorter that I imagined a 6950XT would be. Looking forward to finally building my new system now.

The problems you have with this card and paying all that money. I would send it back in a heart beat. The reference is a cracking card for the price.

I've used four 6950 XT Toxics and all pumps were completely silent, so you may well have a faulty unit if its making noise.

To answer your question though, no the pump always runs at maximum speed.
