Never thought of that plus the hard drive light on this case is blue and top right of blue fan as you look at it so you get the same cold/hot affect from the front too.

Nice. What GPU were you using before?

Did you get the XTX or the XTXH version? If you have 1.2v available in Radeon Software it's the latter.

Curious to know what temperatures you get on Edge and Junction under heavy load with power limit at +15%.

The Ultimate is the XTXH version - I get 1.2v / 350W power-limit @ +15%

Not sure how representative my temps are but I just did a Port Royal run - idle junction temp was 31C, ran at 71-86C max - 9988 points, 10K must be doable!

Hit a brick wall at 2780mhz set max. Looking like about as far as I'll be getting currently. Not too bad at 49th on the board though. A different motherboard to get the physics score up would help too.

It might well be, but I suspect not attached to my lappy via 4 PCIe-lanes! It's still crazy fast enough for gaming though

Great numbers IMO! I've got to about 15,350 on GFX but my physics is stuck at 15.5K - I reckon due to 3 year old laptop CPU + perhaps narrow link to GPU.

Ye, it's a pain as for the world rankings it's the combined scores that count. So having a 5950x kranked up to 11 really helps. My motherboard has a 200w limit so would be fine for a 5800x, but you need 250w+ to get the most out of a 12 or 16 core part.

It's a good score, looks like you reached the limit of your silicone to go further, would need the 1.2v.

3080FE I had before.

So I guess its the Ultimate version going on the previous post. I didnt get much chance to test it last night it was getting late and I`m doing an early shift this week.
At stock I did Timespy 17509 then tried Timespy Extreme 8500 something (noticed this beat a couple of 3090's which I was quite happy about) it was 85c max junction.

need to give it another test later.

Yeah I know it doesn't work so not even tried. I only wish i could have the extra voltage through my Merc as it would love it.

Been on water would give you a little bit extra too. I get very little extra from 100w extra.

Yeah it's really not worth it for day to day, only for maxing out that benchmark score.

However, you are on water so on air the difference might be a bit larger but still not worth it.

No, I'm just running 293w and 2122MHz vram now for daily. It's at 2.5GHz in game with the power been saved on water so manual tweaking for daily is totally pointless for me.
