Oooooh! Pretty! This is very similar to the build I was originally going to do!
Wow thanks, I had not noticed this until I saw your comment. Mine is also stuck at 909 MHz when idling. I will be honest though, these newest drivers do seem to be more stable for me though. I have noticed no driver resets since updating them and using them with various UV+OC profiles I have been testing for gaming stability.it's seems to be actually worse than the previous driver. Now i have Vram stuck at 900+Mhz at idle with this driver.
Probably more to do with the power limit, expect it's probably at MBA or TUF level.Seem MSI put minimal effort into 7900 series cards. The boost clock is only 2500Mhz for the MSI Radeon RX 7900 XTX GAMING TRIO CLASSIC 24GB despite using 3x8pin.
I'd agree with that 100%.I'd say MBA.
Gonna create a table in a OP of one of my threads on OCN.
Tier 0
Tier 1
Aorus Elite, Aqua, Merc, Nitro, Taichi
Tier 2
Red Devil, TUF,
Tier 3
Gaming OC, Hellhound, Pulse,
Tier 4
MBA,
Wonder if it's something to do with the RGB control support they added to the 12.2.2 drivers? As that's the requirement for the RGB control software for the MBA cards. There was someone else a few pages back that had the same issue as well, wondering if its some sort of conflict
For the higher power limit yes. However because you are going under water you can also consider the Aorus, Merc and Nitro so get which is cheapest. Not sure about which Asrock cards have the highest power limit so maybe @gupsterg can confirm.Ok guys just about to pull the trigger on a 7900xt. It's going to be put under water, but is the nitro X worth the extra over the sapphire MBA. I only game at 1080p but might give VR another go later this year
Thx for the reply. Yeah that's pretty much what I thought, so will get the Nitro later when I get homeFor the higher power limit yes. I see the Nitro has just dropped again to £1200 on OcuK so a good time to buy.Thx for the reply. Yeah that's pretty much what I thought, so will get the Nitro later when I get home
I can see ex-display RD Limited Edition and Aorus from a shop. I hope that's got nothing to do with you.I see the Nitro has just dropped again to £1200 on OcuK so a good time to buy.
Ahh I think we have crossed wires, lm getting an xt not an xtxI see the Nitro has just dropped again to £1200 on OcuK so a good time to buy.
Pulse xtx price also dropped now £1099, a good option if not aim for max performanceAhh I think we have crossed wires, lm getting an xt not an xtx
Is that still a reference design PCB as I need to put a water block on itPulse xtx price also dropped now £1099, a good option if not aim for max performance
It’s a 3x8 pin.Is that still a reference design PCB as I need to put a water block on it
Posts on page 74 here did mention the card PCB, using the same PCB as Nitro+ which mean is not a reference PCB.Is that still a reference design PCB as I need to put a water block on it
