Easy to spot which posters are rangers fans. All the poor, hard done by, big boys are picking on us sorta posts.
Like it or not, the punishment was handed down by a system agreed to by Rangers along with every other club in the league but when a decision goes against them, it's all boohoo I'm going to court. It looks like DnP took a purely business decision to go to court. I doubt it had anything to do with football.
I'm not partisan here, tbh I can't stand football anyway.

The punishment was handed down by a system agreeable to all clubs, correct. However, the punishment itself was not and was indeed unlawful in that it was a sanction made up on the spot to cripple Rangers, while allowing the club to remain within Scottish football in order to attract sponsors and television revenue.

No club in Scotland agreed to the punishment that the SFA handed down.

Hence why there was a court case.

Hence why the Judge told the SFA to go back and come up with a punishment that was in their rulebooks.

So you will be happy if Rangers are suspended or expelled now just because its in the rulebook?

For the Rangers fans, say the SFA now expel you which is an option, would you rather stick with the 12 month transfer ban or are you happier following SFA guidelines and take the dismissal?

And why do you care if hatred has gone up Steve? Dont you sign "no one likes us, we dont care?" It seems you do care that no one likes you.

No I don't sing that as it contains what the Scottish government has deemed a bad word.:p

Who said I cared? It was merely an observation with no personal opinion attached to it, other than the bizzareness of it given yeaterdays hearing.

That ok by you Chick? :D

It is extremely unlikely that they will expel Rangers. For the SFA to expel any club, there would have to be the most heinous committed. There are far worse crimes than failing to pay a tax bill. Have you seen what is happening in Italy? The clubs involved in that case are likely to be expelled from their leagues. Even when the last clubs were found guilty of bribing officials, they were docked points and relegated.

Rangers don't have the option to take the transfer ban. It wasn't an option available the first time and it isn't an option available now.

I very much doubt they will use that as the SFA have already said such punishment would have been too severe. Nothing has been done to change that, I believe they will sanction a cup ban now (which was never stated to have not been enough) the only thing they thought wasnt enough was the maximum fine on its own.

I think the growing feeling is that a suspension or expulsion is very much on the cards especially now as Rangers have broke Fifa rules as well as all the other stuff they have done.

Obviously not. But it would at least be a rule that existed and had transparency. And considering the tribunal already said such a sanction was "too severe", they would have a hard time justifying it to the inevitable appeal.

If they suspend Rangers from the Scottish Cup for a period of time... I would accept that.

If they suspend the club from Scottish Football or expel the club altogether... I would wait and see what Rangers next step would be...

I certainly don't think that will happen but I also don't see it being the end of Rangers either.

Not really since there is the additional punishment for breaking Fifa rules, so what might have appeared too severe now might well be severe enough.

They wont suspend from Scottish cup.

Your forgetting that the SFA have also broken FIFA rules by not adhering to the rules that they have in place...

Growing feeling where? Within the West of Scotland press who's sole purpose is to shift as many newspapers as possible? From the Rangers haters on the various Scottish football forums?

Where? Seriously provide a serious source from within the SFA or FIFA.

Are you suggesting Chick Young has some sort of affection for Rangers? If that is what you are suggesting I propose that you stop watching re-runs of It's Only an Excuse from the 90's and rejoin the real world.

Until this all happened then I would have said not, however he has came out with some howlers this year in defence of Rangers, at the weekend suggesting that they get rid of the evidence rather than give it to the SPL pretty much was the final nail in his coffin for me.

Chick is still trying to get over his run in with Walter Smith many years ago....
