Steve, your doing the same as McRod, I said St Mirren would get more money against Morton from games, which is a fact as we get higher crowds against Morton than we do against Rangers.

Are there official stats on this Mark?

I`m looking at the 1800 people that turn up at Morton home games and wondering how this can swell for away games and vice versa with St Mirren.

I`m looking for stats other than latter stage cup games as St Mirren have quite a bit of history when it comes to gloryhunting at cup finals.

Renfrewshire cup final last year at St Mirren park had the same attendance as Rangers on xmas eve. That was a meaningless friendly.

St Mirren + Cup Finals = Gloryhunting attendance figures.

How would we correctly guess attendance figures for normal league matches, bearing in mind youre in 2 different leagues?

You said St. Mirren would be better off if Morton replaced Rangers in the SPL. Completely discounting the loss if television revenue and sponsorship. I have already discredited the article you posted by Andrew Smith (former Celtic View editor)inwhich he claims Dundee Utd would cancel out the loss of income by selling more tickets against local rivals Dundee - despite it being physically impossible for them to sell the amount of tickets required to cancel out such loss.

If you like and can give me an estimated attendance for games versus Morton (backed up by facts) then I will gladly disprove your point also.

the people who maintain that no rangers in spl wouldnt have a serious financial impact on certain clubs in scotland and the spl as a whole, are the same people who are quite happy for the club they maintain to support to be damaged as long as it hurts rangers.

According to my stats, there were considerably more at the Rangers game (Att: 6,711) than were at the Renfrewshire cup final (Att: 4,959) yet your stats say differently?.

I used the official SPL website for the league match stat and STV webby for Renfrewshire cup final stats.

How does this support your claim Mark?

Show me the link to 4959 at the renfrewshire cup final please, there was over 7000 at that game.

You may be getting confused with the league cup third round which was at Cappielow.

Sporting integrity comes above any potential loss of a few quid fortunately.

In this day and age? I reckon sporting integrity started going out the window when Sky started paying stupid money to take sport away from the BBC.

Oh and aren't we starting to wander off the point a bit with all the "you said" "naw ah didny" stuff?
Anyone know when we might find out about the big tax case? And I assume the result of the CVA will be known just before the mass exodus, sorry, transfer window opens?

Well, perhaps, but this is a chance for the powers that be to show that sporting integrity is paramount, otherwise there will be a lot of fans lost to football forever.

You say that now but if its truly in their blood they will be back. Or do they do walking away?? :D

Either way there will be a group of fans lost to the game, fans of other clubs if Rangers get let off scott free, or Rangers fans from having to deal with the fallout, that much is a certainty.

Scott free means no punishment atall. so £100k fine means not scott free so you'll be ok to keep going to the games.

100k fine is not a punishment at all.

If Rangers come out of administration via CVA, then while distasteful, its fair enough, companies do it all the time, they have had the ten point automatic deduction and fair is fair.

If Rangers go newco and there are no proper sanctions, thats when the trouble will start, of course there are people that just want Rangers hung drawn and quartered no matter what, I am not one of these people, fair punishment is all I am looking for.

Actually the 100k fine was the maximum monetary PUNISHMENT that could be handed out for the charge Rangers were found guilty of you just dont think it was enough.

As for newco we'll just have to wait and see wont we. SPL bottled it by not setting exact punishments for newco. you can blame your chairman for that as I believe everyone voted that in.

Pretty sure it wasnt the maximum!

I was reading a bit of the glennie judgement yesterday and came across a maximum fine of 1 million, but on reading it again its for paying match officials more than they should or something like that.

Squeaky bum time for the Rangers fans - all the pieces are coming together though I think there could be a few ongoing investigations after its all done and dusted next week.

HMRC having there own liquidators in place is a strategic move I think as it signals to the other creditors there is now another option. Its no longer accept the CVA or get nothing while Green gets the goodies for cheap. I assume HMRC liquidators will provide for all creditors? Wonder what is going through the creditors minds right now! :o:(:):eek::mad::rolleyes::p;):D

Still a chance the CVA will go through I think and this is a safety net for HMRC so they don't lose out to Green.
