1. get a moon :p. You do this by massive fleets destroying each other and leaving a ton of res, this then gives you a chance (max 20%) that a moon is formed
2. I think I'll stick with uni 3, I'd hate to think how much free time 2 accounts would take :p

nanite factory in 55 minutes, im staying up to throw my resources into defence so it doesnt get nicked again by that same geeza who tea leaved my last hoard of stuff :p

Yep - I'm heading away for the weekend and will not be on 18/24 hours a day like I have been. :p
(With this thread and the OGame forum up all day too!)

So muuuchios investment in defence!

BTW, the OGame forum is well worth a read, again and again, for n00bs and pro's. :) Always picking up more little bits of info/tips.

Just keep clicking Overview or Empire*
(*=if you have commander).

But yep - It's a 20 minute logout or summat... Only get it 2 or 3 times a day tho. :p
 
My current lame tactics..

Went for colony ships straight away.

8 planets. Each has a fleet that goes out every few hours to raid inactive players.

Main fleet with offense, I use for the planets with a defense.

Aiming for destroyers.

And im off to the T.N.G farm galaxy :D finally got enough duet for it to send off my colony ship, cheers for the supplies, custor and shizzle!!! much appreciated!!!

fingers crossed it hasnt got like 5 fields or somethin :P

Well - They are about spot on I'd say. :D

As long as you can pick one planet to begin with to get your basic researches done. (So concentrate on one for a while... Or ship res to it when the next lvl of research needs done)

The only thing... Apparently destroyers are good for defence, a bit wibbly for offence.
Mainly due to speed = slow, deut cost = high.
But supreme at taking out fodder.
(So IMHO, a good investment for using as base defence/ninja'ing and the occasional attack when they are really needed)
But the general opinion is that Bombers are better for offence.
(I was told not to bother with Destroyers by a member of TURKS yesterday)

i get this problem but only in opera, if i play in IE it works fine i have been logged in since i woke up this morning atm :cool:
 
How much does it cost to research combustion engine Lv6? Im currently researching lv5 now, that wont be done for an hour or so. But i think ive got enough to do the next level, and i'd rather wait and do that. If it turns out i dont then i spend it on a shipyard upgrade/fleet probably.
 
THe res was burning a hole anyways, fleet and defence upgraded, and i'm just gonna send em out raiding again till i've made enough. I've nearly enough for two mini raid fleets now, which should really increase my income.
 
Ah, god bless the nanite factory. When it was built decided to splash my resources on beefing up my defence. Ordered myself....

5 Gauss Cannons
15 Heavy Lasers
32 Small Lasers
231 Missile Launchers (anyone guess which res I had the most of? :D)

It's taking about 18 hours to build the lot, much better than the 36 it would have taken otherwise. :)

Splash out! :eek: :p I splashed out on about 4 missile launchers before! :p
 
hmmm now im out of noob protection im getting scanned left right and centre lol. just trying to keep my resource level down for a few days until everything settles down i think. means i have a huge backlog in my shipyard though for battleships lol. in 27hrs ill be able t upgrade it... but by then ill have another 500000k of metal and crystal, making me a target again and so i have to spend it lol.
 
A tip for new players, once you are established, tech up to get cruisers and you can rape everyone around you. It seems there are lots of people sitting on loads of res defended by a few missile launchers, small lasers and light fighters. Woke up to piles of res this morning.
 
oh dear you have no idea how much just spent on defence :D

WAS: (after my attack by the dude who stole like 800k worth of resource...

9 missile launcher
14 small lasers
1 heavy laser

after the nanite factory was build :D :

50 missile launcher
100 small laser
25 heavy laser
25 gauss cannon :)
25 ion cannon

its still pretty poor, but i never had that many gauss cannons and i've never seen above 15... so im hoping this will keep people off, im not done yet tho, todays raids will be spent on more defence

going for:

100 missile
200 small laser
100 heavy laser
50 gauss cannon
100 ion cannon

recon thar'll be enough, then its all about the battleship building :D

that only sorts out 50 battleships :(

i need it to sort 400 !!!... plasma cannon time :x
