*Sighs* The red writing just vanished. He was trying to fleet crash me, cause i dont think he actually had any cargos there cant remember now. He would have destroyed me though! He didnt reply either, everyone i've spoke to on this game so far, are either very rude or quiet!

You've been accepted. I'll get a care package sent to you tomorrow, my fleet is out until late tonight. :)

I don't build plasma cannons, because they are too damned expensive. For ships, try a combination of battleships, light fighters, and cruisers. The ships you will use will be different each time, since no two battles are the same :)
So are you saying that you might send heavy fighters (depending on what the enemy has) - or that you might send different amounts of light fighters, cruisers, and battleships (but never heavy fighters)?

If you mean the first alternative (which I think you do...) - then does that mean you have atleast a few of every ship at each of your planets? (since you may decide you want them for a target - and won't want you wait for the queue to produce them).

I don't have a few of each ship, I usually put all resources into battleships. Everything. But then again, I have tremendous amounts of deuterium so I can afford to fuel the beasts :)

5 million lying around. Now I just need to rebuild the fleet :D

Universe 3

lol - I had been doing that (not recently though).
I'm thinking about getting large numbers of light fighters (as cannon fodder) - but they only seem to be necessary if you're attacking someone with a similar sized fleet as you.

So if you had a target with quite a large fleet, would you get light fighters to reduce your losses, or just keep on building battleships until you have enough to take little or no losses? (and i guess you'd want cruisers for their fodder too).

P.S. Sorry for all these questions, but you seem to be one of the most knowledgeable players here. :p

5 days gone, and i am making real progress at last. Been raiding like mad and should have Hyperspace tech tonight !
Why do you want to get Hyperspace Tech...

No need at this point in the game IMHO...

Look in the technology tree and see what you need... Small cargo's, esp probes then Large Cargo's.
Then LF, Cru, Battleships etc.

Computer tech is far more worthwhile than Hyper tech at the moment. :)

Ask as many questions as you want, this is the first time a game comes up on here and I've been playing longer than everyone else :D

Battleships are a good idea for a backbone. However you'll need sheer numbers. Someone can kick your behind if he has a good amount of fodder. However a sheer battleship force is always nice to have, since whilst you can only build about 10-20 battleships a day, you can always build 150+ light fighters if you ever happen to need them.

So I always just build battleships, and I build light fighters only once I find a real juicy target which I absolutely need them for. That has never happened, but then again 400+ battleships against 100 battleships was always a clear win for me anyway :)

I am planning to skip the middle of the road ships and go straight for the Destroyers and battleships. :p
