Destroyers aren't really worth it unless you're willing to get a huge production of crystal and deuterium to build them in decent numbers. Otherwise your idea is good - battleships ASAP is the way to go.

What your planets make is laughable. You need to raid. Always. You might make more on your planets later on, but the costs will have increased so much you'll need to raid, madly.

It's just that I made the same mistake when I first started, and researched lvl4 Hyper TECH, not Hyper ENGINES. :rolleyes:

EDIT - I notice you have Comp Tech 10... I was planning on increasing that so when I am online I can do more raids.
But you seem to have been happy with 11 fleetslots?

To have Hyperspace Engine requires having Hyperspace Tech first, i don't even have that yet.
 
Ahh, LOL - Nice one!
Only 1 lvl of hyperspace tech wasted early on then! (Even tho need lvl7 now for IRN)
(By the time I noticed I'd been upgrading Tech, I could do the engines.)

And are you raiding other planets (inactives at the moment) all the time?
I found comp tech really good as when I was online, I could set up 5 or 6 raids at once.
Go back in a few hours, set more raids going.

Then keep upgrading it and more cargo's until you have lots of fleetslots in use for as long as possible.
(More raids / hour = More res quicker)

I've got 12 fleet slots (and have had them for a while).
I'd say it's worth it if you can spend enough time on the game to make sure you make use of all the slots.
Although I guess it may be preferred to keep the deut to fuel your battleships (if they're moving about a lot).

Even if I'm mainly raiding after work... It's still an extra raid or two per day.
So thinking of increasing soon.

By BS's are currently flying from planet to planet staying saved until I have a planet in a moonless area, AND decent targets about to get. :p

11 is good enough for me at the moment, and I don't want to spend 600,000 of deuterium which I could power ships with or trade to get loads of other resources :)

600,000 deut? Upgrade combustion engines with that instead :p
 
I wanted to go into vacation mode this weekend, but didn't realise that buildings had to have finished building and fleet had to return before you could do that.
Returned this morning to find 140 battleships and 30 bombers all gone.
Didn't even get a moon from all that lot :(
So I'm going to hang up my space boots and call it a day.
I'm going to send some resource to a friend to help him get started, but I'll leave my planets there so you can all farm them. There will be a smallish defense to overcome first though.

Are the best planets to probe and raid players not in a alliance and are inactive for 2 or more weeks? Cause i think im not far away from being able to use small cargo ships.

At first yup!

Post up some co-ords of exactly those kind of people here to get them scanned then send in your cargos when you know they have no defence.
 
ok, just aiming for espionage probes atm and can fly small cargo ships in about 8 minutes.

Quick look around the area, inactive non alliance planets

Also, i keep hearing people say "noob protection" what is that? cause im fairly new to this, about 4 days old.

2:131:12 is noob protected from me.
That means his score is too low relative to mine for me to attack him - it's done to stop strong players attacking players much weaker than them (and to stop weak players committing suicide :p).

God I'm an idiot. Sent 8 Large Cargos, 20 Battleships and 5 Bombers at a target earlier, except I made a typo and sent them to a guy with an awesome defence (well, good enough to kill me anyway), lost the entire fleet in one round :( If anyone has a ton of recyclers near 2:251:5, please send them to get the res for me, and if you'd be so kind to send it on to me (keeping some for yourself of course). My fleet is out for another 2 hours so it'll probably be gone before I get chance to get my fleet there.
