Honor does have a wing alliance, so perhaps he meant he was joining that.

Either way - I'd of continued the attack.
It's not like Honor are going to go after revenge for an attack on a guy who hadn't even joined the alliance at the time - hell, they probably won't even bother when he's in the wing. :p

Besides - you're still under noob protection (afaik), so they can't really do much even if they wanted to.

When you were a lowly 314 points (ranked 4638 of 6412) what was your crystal output? In comparison to 1594 metal is 753 Crystal massively short? My crystal mine is level 12 (currently being upgraded) and my metal mine is level 14.

pretty much gilly, I think i was struggling for a while on the crystal output side of things, got quite a bit laying around though could send you 50k or so to move you along ?

wont be able to do it until tonight though as just sent fleet away, also this is dependent on me having an internet connection when i get home :p

On another note, back to it, spent about 1.5mill res last night as quite a big build up from when i was active but not online.

Keep getting probed by High Ace though which is a tad worrying :eek:

that bloke quicksilver is in the same alliance I've got a NAP with him so I might have a word and see if theres anything he can do ?

or just not bother cos i seriously doubt ive got anything high ace will want to be bothered with.
 
I so enjoy the hollow threats from my victims. I hit some guys two colonies quite hard yesterday but his main planet had a little too much defence for me. He sent me a message saying that I was starting to P him off which apparently is not a good thing. :rolleyes:
He hasn't probed me so I assume he hasn't even checked my score as he has a fraction of my points, his average Alliance score barely puts them all out of noob protection, I suspect I could destroy the lot of them if I could find them.

I am planning to IPM his defence later, just one more build to go :D

How much are IPMs are they super expensive? He is within 10ss of me so I assume he is well within range? Its 30 seconds per ss to get to him as well?
 
It's 30 seconds for anything in your own solar system, and an additional 60 seconds for every other SS it has to travel through.

Edit: Note that the building time is down to Nanite level 2, yours will be much longer.
 
You said somewhere that Raksim was no longer accurate? I checked quickly and it doesn't look like it will be profitable enough to hit him as I would need 24 missiles :(

I am very tempted to do it anyway for the laugh, I have upgraded my espionage tech to 9 purely because I find it funny when peoples probes get destroyed after I probe them first.

I have Nanites 1 so it shouldn't be too much slower.
 
Aye, I believe from what I've read on the Ogame forums that Raksim isn't accurate in terms of damage done any more, so you'd likely need even more than that.
 
Is there any real benefit in IMPs on a target with a fair few defences and at a level 4 silo (cost 320k metal and crystal + 16k deut to get level 5 etc) you can only store 20 IPMs or 40 ABMs or a combination of both. Most of the time you can't keep enough missiles to knock out all the defences, specially if they have some ABMs. I keep 6 IPMs and 8 ABMs to offer a stale mate tbh.
 
I'm on 4400 points now, just researched Hyper Space Engine lvl 4 so i can get battleships. But i am pondering if i should put my res into research for either one of these.

1 - Forget battleships, go for nanite factory - that means Computer and Robotic (currently at lvl 6&7)
2 - Think about defence and go for plasma canons - Energy and Laser (lvl 6&8)
3 - Get ESP up as high as i can, lvl 5 at the mo
4 - Built 7 Battleships and start taking on the bigger fish.
 
I would say get esp lvl 8 as it can tell yuo what your being attacked with, ie number of ships.

On the ogame forums people were saying stay away from nanite until you've got about 30k points. Makes sense as the res used for it I would personally build a bigger fleet.
 
I had nanites at around 15k points, and it was totally worth it. In my eyes, if your build queue is constantly full, then get it as soon as you like. I often had build queues 2 days long, so it's proved invaluable.

I would say though, that getting espionage level 8 is a must. Knowing the amount of each type of ship coming at you is a huge bonus, plus you will save on probes as you'll find less get blown up when scanning.
 
BTW, that guy who claimed to be joining Honor, now it's in TBO.Wing. They seem to be recruiting anyone at the moment and doesn't say anything about being alliance with Honor.

upgrading ESP now, and building a few Battleships, Crusiers, and Large Cargos.

They can handy for local targets who have a few defences, but it does cost a silly amount to knock out a huge defence. It's more handy if you have several allies close by, as co-ordinated missile attacks could prove devastating.
 
I think I'm just being impatient. I'm only on 369 points but given that I only started (again) about a week ago I don't think thats particularly bad going is it?

That's pretty good going I think. How are you doing ship wise? How about research?
 
I takes ages to get going in the beginning, thou once it starts snowball. I'd say when you get large cargos (which cuts the time and carry 5 times the amount), things really do get going. And I jumped almost 1000 points soon as i got my hands on Battleships.

I am researching comp level 10 at the moment and then I can build nanites. Do they itch :D?
