The rise and normalisation of OnlyFans

IMO, the issue isn't a question of morals it's a question of how our society evolves if this becomes the norm for upcoming generations. Is this really how men should view women and personal relationships?

Personally, I don't think it's either healthy or acceptable to view women as sex objects and nothing else.
Yeah but that's down to the individual. If they want to advertise themselves as an sex object then that's what people will treat them as.

I genuinely do not think many do.......... even men who look at pron or go to massage parlours.

also why is it always the men who get the blame? i know plenty of women who look at pron too (i think many other likely do in their own home as well but are just not as open about it as men are)

my ex wife went to a hen do (not hers......... or that was what she told me anyway) and the stuff she said that went on with the male stripper it is unlikely guys would have got away being that handsy with a lady stripper.

but partly it also comes down to.............. IF a guy, not attractive in the conventional sense could go out and was single and 3x out of 5 pull a woman for a strings free night with, they would probably would be less likely to use adult material as well.

there are plenty of lasses out there who have no problem at all on that front, am sure we all know someone like that................ but it is much more difficult for the male equivalent of that person.....

PS in defence of mufc....................... whilst i knew tranny was an offensive term, i have fairly recently been told off for using the term transvestite. apparently that is a wrongun as well, but i had no idea.

i am told transexual is a better term. i argued that is different because someone may dress in ladies clothes but still associate with being male so not trans in that sense, and may not even be homosexual.

so i will be honest. i have no bloody idea what is what any more either........ so i just try to live by Wheaton's Law and hope it gets me by.

No, they know exactly what they are doing, these are adults not children. They are also not stupid.

No one is forcing them to do it, OF is just another social media platform.

It's not about blaming anyone nor is it about coercion, although I don't think it's beyond the realms of imagination to think that a profitable entity could lead to women being coerced into this - coercion happens in every aspect of the sex trade. To think that none of those women are being forced is a bit naïve.

Anyway, I think you're both being a bit defensive here. Like I say, it's not about blaming the women or the men involved. What I'm saying is that it can affect the society we live in and just because someone makes a bit of money it doesn't become the ultimate measure of what's acceptable. The biggest issue I see with it is the mental health of all involved, the customer and the service provider.

Trouble is some men can’t tell the difference between social media/reality.

A woman can post what she wants on OF and it’s a fantasy, it’s a story, it’s not reality. Her character asking her subs what they want from her sexually doesn’t mean that she wants sexual contact in real life from anyone. However many men seem to think that it does.

Ultimately it comes down to consent. A performer can consent and request attention/comments/etc. but when they aren’t requesting it then the men should be aware of this and not think the woman wants that attention.

Society has always had a prolific sexual tone or even undertone. It's not new. It's not just about men viewing women a certain way, it's not a one way street. From what I've gathered this is something that people choose to do.

I completely agree that objectifying women or men or people can cause issues, but I think a level of societal maturity overcomes this quite easily. I mean even in my lifetime the way women and men interact has changed enormously, but one thing that has remained constant has been this stuff (sex etc) whilst it's more accessible than ever now it's no more prolific than it was 20+ years ago. As a mature society you can enjoy sexual freedoms like this without objectifying women, you potentially make sexual desire and sex a less personal an intimate thing but you can detach things like this I think.

Perhaps I'm in the minority who thinks like this and don't disregard your opinion at all it's Definitely worth exploring.

Women getting rich from taking naff photos herself and putting on a fake persona is a thing now. Some of these women own several houses in the 20`s.

I agree with that, I think the piece I'm fixing on is the notion that it's being "normalised". I don't think prostitution will ever be normalised in our society. I also don't think it should be.

I must be getting old.

Out of curiosity from this thread, I tried to go on there, signed up. I just see what looks like a load of posts from people?

Admittedly I dont use any form of social media and I have no idea how to use anything like this, but the whole thing is alien to me, plus I couldnt easily see any boobs?

I dont get it personally, its not for me.

You have to actually give people a subscription to see their content

Why would you do that, dont people realise there are other sites that are just much easier to look at?
They probably feel some personal emotional attachment to the people they subscribe to.

Maybe there's a chance she will notice me if I keep donating money, some of them sell themselves to fans as well btw from what I gather like proper escorting.

and the ones that don't do that openly probably still take a holiday to dubai and get paid 20k-30k

For the record I've never even visited the website, I wasn't talking on a personal level...

Crazy.

It's a generational thing. You could say the same thing about Twitch. People will spend hundreds, sometimes thousands of pounds there. Per month. Reasons? Personal connection, supporting the streamer, supporting the community, and/or just showing off for competitive purposes.

It does worry me a bit, not specifically to this.

But more people working from home, getting more expensive to go out, swimming pools closing because they are too expensive and similar things, social clubs etc.

Less and less people to interacting with each other on a face to face basis? I think COVID had caused a bit of this as well.

Makes people more isolated really, like if you have 200 Facebook friends but never see any of them etc.

Can't see it having a positive affect on society on the long run.

"How to flatter whoring" by Ahlecz, in your bookshops now :)

Or in specific to this then, instead of a girlfriend or wife, you get an onlyfans girlfriend, and she'll get naked and talk to you, but only if you keep paying her or donations or however it works. These people may think it's a 2 way relationship but I guarantee when the money stops so will the interaction.

Because it shouldn't be normalised, just like OnlyFans. People like you promote this kind of nonsense and is why it keeps popping up everywhere.

I would just like to point out that this chap's username is a football club, that should tell you all you need to know :D
