True, Busted or Open

Status - Open

Plenty of potential for garbage in this article and added to the OP.:D:)

If thats true (4Gb and 8Gb for a dual card) can you imagine Nvidia PR department.

AMD did the "full 4GB" thing when that 970 story broke.

Nvidia would be like "50% extra RAM over the competition" for their 980ti.

Or worse still "Pick up the best bang for buck TitanX with 3x the memory".

Its a good thread to have Kaap ^^^^ :), at the end of all this we can see who can be trusted and who are the fakers.

Apparently (according to Sweclockers) the 290/290x will be the 390/390x and Fiji will be used for a Titan style model. I can't get the page to translate so I had to put it through manually bit by bit but if true it's funny.

Can someone get the page to translate on loading please.

Partial quotes

"Allegedly to vBulletin, it looks like AMD puts the plans and do not use the famous graphics processor Fiji for the regular 300 series. Instead, the lavish circuit be the basis for one or more 'halo products',"

"*with the performance of the super-hot class and a remarkably high price tag. It is thus not about to sell in large numbers but to create a model that especially strengthens its own brand."

"In the case of Fiji, it may also be the only option. The new graphics processor is the first with stacked memories or High Band With Memory, a memory that has not yet produced any significant volumes and probably considerably more expensive than usual"
