Is it worth upgrading from a Vega 56 to Vega 64 or am I better waiting for the inevitable refresh which could be closer than we think?

Made the jump to Vega64 today in light of the Powercolour Red Devil price (which include the games I would have probably bought anyway). Hopefully a nice step up from my FURY Nitro on 3440 x 1440p

I got my 64 installed and running after running into a couple of issues (after uninstalling the clock blocker that was keeping my r9 290 from downclocking to work around a bug with multiple monitors and freesync, I started getting the usual corruption problems along with total freezes. I tried to get into safe mode to run DDU prior to removing the card but it would keep crashing before I could. In the end I just swapped the cards out, booted to safe mode, and realised it wasn't loading my keyboard or mouse drivers so I couldn't sign in anyway. So I just ran DDU from in Windows, rebooted, installed the latest drivers, rebooted, and everything seemed peachy. Played a game for around an hour with no problems. Later on I tried gaming again, but after around 10 mins I got weird patterns over both monitors followed by them both going blank. Rebooted, loaded up the game, same problem almost instantly.
It was too close to bed to do any major troubleshooting but I'm thinking it's either temperature (though if that's the case why was it OK for the first game?) or maybe the psu not being beefy enough. I'll probably post a separate thread when I'm home and can properly work on it, but I wanted to throw some things out here now so I can test them first.
Thanks!
I've been having issues with my new Vega Red Devil, I've only had it for two days but on day one it crashed a game giving visual errors as in the pic below and then last night it did the same crashing out of a game with the same sort of glitches once it goes from a black screen back to the desktop, as in the second picture.
Hmm maybe ask OCUK to replace the card?
Also you MUST run the latest DDU in safe mode. Try it now it works with the Vega.
Also use Ccleaner before you install the drivers, go to registry and fix the issues. Try twice.
Then install the drivers.
If you are on Windows 10 restart your machine with the shift key pressed. Then advanced starting optionsHi, How do you do so in safe mode? It tells me to go into safe mode but not how too, Cheers

I think I'm gonna have to, I really didn't want the hassle but it's not the sort of thing you can ignore. It's a shame as it's a really nice card.

No point what so ever. You can get very close to stock Vega 64 speeds by overclocking or flashing a v64 bios on the v56.
I'm not even convinced a Vega refresh will happen anytime soon, if at all.
Shame that nasha, you having no luck at all
