The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

has Vega been improving with drivers much? hoping it follows AMD history and ages well!

Look at my benchmarks couple of pages back with the used stock reference on air without changes.
The graphic score is 10% higher than what was reported last year on the benchmarks. And even on air (albeit with noise), you can beat a watercooled GTX1080 @ 2190....

@faceman123 could i be ever so cheeky as to ask a small favour? could you measure the length of the strix? on the asus website it states 29.8cm but i notice the fan shoud 'hangs off' the end of the pcb/backplate a tad and i just need to know if their measurements take that into account

Absolutely, I get my card tomorrow, will update thread with picture and measurement

I have watercooled card with different settings. But here are where the settings how it should look like

Thanks mate

This is what I using, I get around 1520/945 This was the only way I could get the GPU to not run to hot and downclock, all my lights on the GPU remains solid when gaming meaning it reaching P7 state all the time. I will give your ago but i am 100% sure I will need to keep the fan speed.

Only cos it power throttles stock. Unlock the power limit (make sure you have good PSU and cables :D ) and suddenly the perf goes through the roof, same as the power draw!!

I mean I totally haven't seen 390W pulled in Afterburner which is closer to 420W at the PSU...

If I wanted such power consumption I could have got 2080ti... Lol.

I think I'm going to order that Morpheus 2 cooler and take the 2 120mm fans off my old h100 aio to use with it.
Does anyone know if this cooler is likely to still fit on other cards I may buy in future as If it's a one trick pony I probably wouldn't buy one.

You can try :)
Nobody's card died by reducing power :D

Red Dragon Vega 56 did not like the memory settings at all (insta crash and corrupted screen), but reducing State 6 & 7 as you suggested by 70 mv did allow it to boost consistently to 1547 in the medium Superposition test @1080p. Doing the extreme version of Superposition did lower the clocks slightly to around 1530, but the speeds were pretty much maintained with +/- 10 mhz fluctuation during the tests.

I think that's pretty good for a card that's only specced to boost to 1478, but now it can do a higher boost and hold it there. Thanks for the tip, it's a pretty big difference from the default spec of 1177 mhz

If you use HWInfo, whats the voltage on the HBM?
