Not sure if this has been mentioned at all, but I was watching SSN this morning and they were hinting that the reason Fergie's playing Saha is to basically put him in the shop window, as funds need to be raised from somewhere.

If this is the case, it'd give RVN even more of a reason to want to leave. He's not being dropped because he's playing badly, but because the manager wants to try and get as much money as possible for Saha. Way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if both left old trafford in the summer.

I was at the newcastle game yesterday, it was quite comical. Everyone went absolutely crazy everytime Saha did something wrong, but when Rooney missed a sitter he got cheered :p

Saha & RVN will both stay I’m sure, i doubt he will sell Saha, fergie wants 4 top notch forwards and with Rossi coming through, i think he will have that very soon. Would be nice to see RVN & Saha have the odd game together. I know he prefers to play Rooney behind and one out and out, but what happens if Rooney gets injured? Rossi has been banging them in for the reserves so I’m quite excited for next season.

I would like to see two midfielders come in during the summer, one of world class status would be nice if not both, defense looks well covered as does the strike force I think we have a chance next season. Then again you never know who Chelsea are gonna buy :p

Saha has been dreadful the past few weeks. Ruud is our best player and should have been playing yesterday. Saha slows the play up far too much. He may have speed but he's too ponderous on the ball, United are far more fluid with Ruud in the team. I'm surprised Rooney hasn't been rested at all, he's playing fantastic but he'll be worn out next season after the world cup. If this is going to carry on until the end of the season, I hope Ruud sticks around until our new manager steps in (Hopefully Hiddink) and corrects the situation. And if he wants to sell Saha I'd stop playing him as every time he's on the pitch his price will go down, same as Silvestre. At least Evra looked like he wanted to be there, Silvestre has been a dead man walking most of the season. Mind you, I'd drop Neville at the moment too. I don't know if the captaincy is too much for him but he's been rubbish ever since he got the armband, I'd much rather see Bardsley there. On a side note, it's nice to see O'Shea starting to play well, it's been about two seasons since he last showed this form.

I didn't realise Saha was 'top notch'

if we are talking about the prem then he's one of the best around, and has showed that with his resent goal scoring record. i would in most cases start with RVN who is world class, but then again, Saha needs the games and has showed he's good enough, i do think Man Utd attack options are in good shape.

Yeah he was and now he’s getting pretty good now, not sure if you pay much attention the prem league or not, but he’s pretty much been injured the whole time he’s been at utd. I think this is his longest run with out a sideline break. So fingers crossed he will remain that way.

He was pretty good when he played for Fulham.

We'll give him to Leeds on the cheap if you want!

They would still find a way to go bankrupt again, even if we gave them to him

We'll have him on loan if you pay his wages :p

Thats the point though, its not just his ability we're talking its him all-round. If he's a crock that makes him a worse player...

well yeah, that can't be helped i guess, fingers crossed he has past all those probs, but only time will tell, when he was at fulham he stayed pretty fit, looks like he has had a bad run

Saha is far from a top notch player. He only scores the amount of goals he does because Man Utd create so many chances and the law of averages state he'll put one or two away eventually. He has poor control, poor finishing, his movement isn't what it used to be, and his confidence seems to be low. He's an average player in a team that should contain world class players.
