Incidentally, in the game directory, in the data folder, there's a gui_patching_done.wav file, it's the noise the launcher makes when it's ready to play.
It makes a really good message notification noise for your phone
Indeed, that is a nice noise! How do I get it onto my iPhone?
Also, is there a 'good' combo for weapons?
I got the Blood Magic and Sword equipped but couldn't use the sword. Deleted that character though as I didn't like the name...
Don't know about iphones, on my android I just copied it across to the media folder on the phone, browsed to it using the media player and set it as my ringtone.
The 'good' combos are the ones that have effects that play off each other - for example, opening with a rifle attack that applies Hindered, while having an elemental attack that does 10 damage, but also applies a DoT if the target is hindered. That kind of thing.
It all depends on the skills you chose from within each weapon area, it's kind of hard to say Elemental and Blade is rubbish, because there are hundreds of different builds possible within those two areas.

Haha! I worked it out! Using a sword and element focus. Problem is, my health is about 1/2 when I finish a fight...
I've been using a custom rifle & blood deck for healing, it works really well. I'm working on the Magus deck for a DPS option now (and for the outfit)
Would you mind sharing your build? I'm building an alt deck for healing and i'm planning to go with AR/blood aswell. There seems to be a lack of healers around for dungeon runs in general, tried Darkness War on normal the other day but couldn't get a healer for the group and we couldn't get past the 2nd boss fight
I'm LOVING the Blade/Elem it's awesome! Now looking for a Cabal (think thats right) I'm the first server it selects (Huldra or something). Does OCUK have a Guild/Cabal I can join? I want to run the Polaris thing but wary about random people.

My group couldn't find a tank
Managed to find a deck builder that allows linking!
rifle/blood healing build
The best thing about groundwork is that it generates blood resources as well as rifle resources
I'm hoping it's the tooltip that's bugged, rather than the ability itself. It's good for groups of mobs too as you can build rifle resources on multiple mobs in order to use both rifle consumers one after the other.If you use that build make sure to tell your group mates that the AE heals are centered on the mobs and yourself. Also I don't know if it's the most effective thing out there but it's working well for me.

Is the second Boss the bid wolf thing? Cos that does hit damn hard and i struggled to keep the tank up on that one, and in fact he did die but we still burned him down as it was towards the end of the fight.
I was using a Blood/Fist heal build with all inner wheel abilties and surgical steel (Fist outer), and apart from that fight had no problems, although our tank was QL10, so that gave me quite a big crutch to lean on.

The guy to talk to is called Maxilive
I was briefly in the OcUK cabal, but at the time the in game chat was bugged, and there were few people in the guild (cabal)... I got the impression they were questing together, but only got through a few times in chat.
Then I met up with some guys I played a few other games with and joined the cabal they're in.
No offence to the OcUK cabal... they were friendly, but only about 5 or 6 at the time, and like I said communicating was a problem

I'm 99.9% certain the majority of players are outside the US (i.e mainly in Europe).
Funcom usually do updates in the middle of the night on EU servers, I guess this means all the server admin is probably based in the US.

Well that is totally a guess on player base size isn't it so maybe they aren't gimping their player base maybe it doesn't matter what time you do it, it will annoy one group or another. You are just annoyed that it's you that is having to deal with it yet would be happy if it was soemone else.
lol... There's TONS more EU players mate. Just go in some groups/check general chat/forums/any other source.
And yes, ofcourse I'd rather it happened to someone else... lol are you saying you'd rather take the hit than the yanks? I don't really see your point.
Doesn't mean I'm "happy" anyone has gaming downtime...
