Just starting - anyone got any tips? Thinking of the discy thing and an assault rifle as my two skills... other than that, clueless.

yeah assault rifle is good as a survival solo weapon as well as being good dps in dungeons, lots of good leach heals. ther's also a nice heal in the misc tree you should pick up quick. so yeah you need multiple builds for solo and dungeons, dont try and be a glass canon when solo.. you can pick up passive abilities from other weapon trees that aren't from the weapons your currently using... try and make your abilities work together, ie if a ability hinders a target, have a passive which gives more dps to a hindered target etc..

for max dps concentrate on penetration and hit rating
 
There's a 1ap skill on the claws tree that's not weapon dependent, but heals you every time you hit, worth picking that up too.

Your gear makes a huge difference too, don't just slap on whichever is the highest level, pay attention to + to hit rating and pen, as Jamie says.

Going to grab myself some pts to get the Issue 5 DLC, but its come at a pretty handy time cos im pretty sure my mate can grab 5 & 6 for 10€ + 5€ worth of Funcom Pts, and i can do #5 for 5€, rather than needing 10€ and having 4€ worth of pts spare, that 30% covers it perfectly.

If anyone wants a 48h trial invite, giz a shout, i'd happily welcome a free month membership if you end up sticking with it :D:D
 
Event sounds great! Will try to rack up a few hours on there this weekend :D

Also, ive not bothered with any dlc yet and know zilch about it either. Is it all new areas and quests etc?
And at what point do they become relevant?
 
Is theres a consumable you can stack with it to for AP increase? Im kind of going down the chaos route at the moment and loving it, but if i need to respec im close enough tot he beginning to start a new character.

Also, for anyone wondering, the 'golden weekend' starts in a few minutes, although the email doesnt actually say what time it ends, only that its Sunday the 5th.

The cool thing about that is you'll be able to buy the Issue 6 DLC with that (1200pts, or 1080 during the first month, as you get 10% offs), and when you complete 30 missions your also given some bonus pts which would easily cover Issue 5 (750pts) so you could easily buy all the DLC most people would consider buying without getting the wallet out.

Infact, ive just checked and its £25 from them, im sure it'll be cheaper elsewhere though. We got it from origin for £12.50 (but no pts) and steam had it for about £18 with pts but thats gone since (unless its back) but you might find its cheaper elsewhere.

Can anyone explain this dls mission pack business for me, im really confused by it tbh.

On their store, i cant find pack 1 to 5, only 6! Are the older pakcs not available anymore and at what point is there a point to buying the additional packs?
