And has the experience inspired you to get more done? ;)

Ha ha ha if im being honest i'm already looking at getting a cross done down my side ;)
But a lot of people said it will absolutely kill me! It hurt bad enough when he was hitting my hip bone with the stars ha ha!

I like to be nosey - what made you a) get stars and b) in that location?

Ive wanted stars there for a long time but my ex. girlfriend thought it was a gay idea and weve been split up about 4 months so I thought i'd treat myself! I know everyones probably going to say 'you should've got them anyways' but I was a bit soft ha ha!

Im seriously considering getting a rage of the machines red star tatto now my three main thoughts is:

1.Where to have it, im thinking left shoulder or chest just above a nipple.

2.Should i have text underneath this is what ive come up with, what would you choose:
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE
RATM
RATM 2010
RATM DOWNLOAD 2010

3. what sort of size would you have a star?

Sorry for the simple questions but this would be my first tattoo, while im posting is there anything i should know about tattoos?

Stars are over-used in my opinion... Just like tribal - it has to be pretty unique, otherwise it's usually done before :p

I'm looking to have my nan and grandads nick names tattooed just under each of my collar bones, just wondered if anyone on here has had one in a similar/same place and can describe the pain factor? Not going to put me off as I have two large (ish) on my forearms and another on my chest but trying to prepare myself as it were :D

Going in for my first tattoo tomorrow and for a first it's going to be quite a relative big'un, covering the left of my chest and going over my shoulder.

Bloody nervous about the pain more than anything and I hate needles which doesn't help but I'll grit my teeth and grin and bear it. :p

Wish me luck!

It's a koi design with vines running from it and 3 roses sitting underneath representing something very special to me. My girlfriend did most of the design after I told her what I wanted and tweaked a few parts.

Been planning it for months now and since it was my birthday on the 19th my gf is paying for it too :D

Still doesn't stop me being stupendously nervous though!

Edit: If you're having trouble picturing it, imagine the fishes head pointing toward the centre of my chest, the roses just underneath as if it's sitting or diving into them and the tail and vines extending over my shoulder :)

You'll be fine dude!

Just spark up a convo and it'll take your mind off it all!

Just got two purple roses added either side of my skull on neep of elbow. The one on the inner bit hurt like hell, but they were worth the pain!

That looks awesome man :) I can really imagine the inside of the elbow being quite painful :p

Also, just a quick question, I've got quite a hairy chest so I'm assuming they'll shave it before starting, or is that something I've gotta do? :p

Well, I recommend shaving both sides for even'ness. They'll do it for you, but I recommend doing it and moisturise it after to stop shaving rash/ingrowing hairs.. as they do it straight with a bith of 'green' spray.
