The Show Off Your Tattoo Thread

Had this done over a month ago now, meant to post it in here but forgot!

Just been for a touch up today but this was straight after it was done :)

Love it to bits :)

Looks great, where did you get it done?

Two of them were "I'm 18 and want a tattoo lololol" jobs, they look terrible and there is no point to them whatsoever. I have a large one on my back as well which actually looks awesome, but I never get to see it so its 15hours of pain and a lot of money wasted. I more regret the placement of that one rather than the actual tattoo, its actually my best one.

Don't get tattoos when you are young and think its cool.

Anyone here regret getting their tattoo(s)?

slightly regretting the tattoo I'm currently having done but only because its big and down my one side (ribs and stomach). Didn't really think about the whole pain aspect because up until now I've kind of enjoyed sitting for tattoos. This is a whole different kettle of fish though and hurts like ****! Got at least 3 or 4 hours left on it I reckon and appointments now loom in the future like doom days.

On the plus side it's looking awesome and will be amazing when it's finished. That and my mate's a tattooist so I'm getting amazing rates :D

Must admit, I'm really pleased with my progress over the last 12 weeks, sat I think it was 5 7 hour sessions and one 8 hour session in that time I think. Way to go especially for an inpatient person like myself.

I won't do more than 3hrs in a go. Skin starts getting massively irritated etc.

That's a fair one, we're all different, I've had good sittings and I've had bad ones. I think it's longer than 12 weeks actually might be 13 now. I struggle after about 5-6 hours. I struggled on two sessions bad when I had my elbows done, one had a lot of shading done on it. It does start really hurting going from hour 6-7 and 7-8 but I just go with it.

Also the day really depends, there is a guy I know who is heavily tattooed who only managed to sit 15 mins one day.

Indeed, I just go by whats recommended, when I had my first session on my back tattoo years ago the guy said no more than 3 hours because that's when blood sugar starts dropping etc where your body is rejecting it.

So I've always just gone with that rule of thumb! :)

Roll on Dec 1st for my next session :D

Yea', I must admit I drink a fair few energy drinks throughout the day along with some chocolate and a sandwich or something, just have to time the bites and chewing so I don't move too much.

Might have already said but what you getting done on 1st dude?

I don't regret my tattoos but I do regret who I picked to do my last one. She was recommended to me by a friend but her line work was shocking. So my tattoo is too small and a bit wobbly. I love what it could've been so it doesn't bother me too much.
