saw that before... apparently its meant to be a child holding a mothers finger. i guess you can kinda tell it was meant to be that...
Not initially. The placement of that star immediately made me think of something entirely different.

How is 6 hours at once?.
Got my first session in about 8 weeks (6 hours), then another 4 6 hour sessions - so will be interested to know what it's like .
Would be funny if I can't stand being tattooed.
Hehe, what are you considering getting?.Sorry I didn't get back sooner. It's interesting to say the least.
I've had over 90 hours in 8-9 months or so, I had one session which was under 3 hours ( first one ) and every single other session has been a 7-8 hour session (excluding the 6 hour convention one.)
Now all of my tattoos are extremely heavy on the line work, my tattooist is fast and one of my tattoos needed 2 hours line work.... My forearms were the best in terms of pain, he could do 6 + hours on the front of it and it wasn't an issue. Then I had a day which was elbow and forearms, that was a horrible day... It really depends on the day if I'm honest. I've had sessions after 20 mins sleep and being out partying all night ( was fine ) and I've had ones where I've had loads of sleep and it's hurt loads.
It depends what you're getting done but I've had over 60 hours over my 2 arms so far and I don't even have a full sleeve.
My next session is next Tuesday, I'm toying with the idea of a very very controversial tattoo... it would be on the foot but it's a very life changing tattoo. However I think I'm going to get an Alt Kitty in the fashion of Tetsuo
The amount of attention my tattoos bring me is crazy, I never would have expected so many people to talk to me about them or stare, it's crazy.
You can get numbing gel and if interested I can recommend a very very good brand. I tried it once and felt nothing at all during the line work... However once it wore off I was in agony as all the pain hit me at once.
Hehe, I can see why!, isn't the traditional one (before the Nazi's stole it) on it's side? (different way up to the ones the Nazi's used) - along with having some patterns around the edge normally if I recall correctly.A swastika. Problem is being a skin head the association would be all wrong... someone I know has one and I want basically the same, it's not like a modern day one, it's more traditional and very ornate.
Tetsuo as in the character from the anime Akira
Ametop Gel; you can get it from Amazon. I personally wouldn't use it again I don't think, they pain once it all wore off all hit me at once... It was horrible.
I like what you're getting done mate, will look epic once done
Yea, the one I'm going for has the straight + so to speak and them it curves slightly to the right and comes back on itself to a point on the left, so it looks like a curved 4 blade ninja star I guess and like you said I would have pattern/dot work around it. I'd get it on my foot if I was to get it though, I do go to a fair few raves and people are very ignorant these days lol.Hehe, I can see why!, isn't the traditional one (before the Nazi's stole it) on it's side? Ahh, that Tetsuo - I did some Akira paintings some time ago, very cool.
Sounds like I should give the gel as miss then - good to know tho incase I have a very awkward bit & don't want to move while the works done!.
Ay, really like the work of the artist - a bit out of the way on the other side of London when I'm in Hampshire - but happy to travel for a good artist..., not something worth skimping on tbh.
Cheers for the tips/hints.
In Fareham (near Portsmouth) here.Yea, the one I'm going for has the straight + so to speak and them it curves slightly to the right and comes back on itself to a point on the left, so it looks like a curved 4 blade ninja star I guess and like you said I would have pattern/dot work around it. Sweet, I've been trying to find an Akira related tattoo for a while, because of the old style of it I wasn't too keen on anything I saw and then I saw the Hello Kitty adaptation of it, contacted the artist and he is happy for me to get it done
When I used the Gel, I was at a tattoo convention and was uncomfortable/hot and recovering from massive partying so that could have done something towards it. I think I will use it if I'm just getting line work done though.
Where in Hampshire are you? Which studio are you going to, you may have said but I'm curious
Finally got myself booked in for my next tattoo, after 10 years since the last one! After lots of research I have managed to book an appointment with Curly!
It's going to be a lower right leg piece, in a similar style to this lady's (Curly's Wife) right leg;
The appointment isn't until January due to his waiting list, but I'm really excited!
I wish my wait was that short
I booked mine in about this time last year and my first session is in January next year.
Damn..., I thought waiting for 9 months was bad...Tell me about it, I waited 3 years from booking in to get my forearm done.
