And in a few years time everyone and their mum will have Japanese style tattoos, and people will be calling them chavy (or whatever the current term will be then). It’s just how life goes, things get popular and the masses adopt.

Had this over a year, when the money allows I want to have something added around it and flowing into my shoulder and chest..........am thinking of letting them free hand it so its original

Just need to find a good tattooist thats local to me

Out of interest, how long after it was done were those pictures taken? The ink looks a really good dark solid colour.

No worries, I’ve been having a stressful day so really tetchy and snapping at things that wouldn't normally bother me. :o

Must be about 3 or so years now, the colour isn’t as black/dark but has stayed solid and no bleed on the outline so been really pleased how it’s kept.

Want a similar design elsewhere but done in reverse so the pattern is skin and the tattoo will be the outer shadowing.
 
I am trying to keep the thread alive and on topic. I think its doing well so far 6 or 7 pages now. Still waiting on my mate showing me some ideas for my guitar tattoo :)

Some very cool tattoos in here. Ive always wanted to get one myself but just cant decide what. I used to be pretty good at drawing so I'm thinking of doing a few designs and see if i can come up with something decent.

Yeah, its the fear of the unknown that makes people nervous. If you not a fan of pain get a basic tattoo to begin with. A design with few intricate lines and more filling in.
Lines = single needle. Filling in = multiple needles.
The single one is the one that is sore, the multiple needles is more like a tickle :)
