The Show Off Your Tattoo Thread

Loving the Division Bell tattoo but something just doesn't look quite right, I'm not sure what and I don't have an original here to compare.

Here's mine, about six weeks old. My arm hasn't been exposed to any sunlight yet this year, I'm still a bit pasty and blotchy!

Is it a Scarab or am I seeing it wrongly?

I think it came to about 1200 quid all in all. I went to see the artist for a consultation (he did a tattoo on my leg prior to this piece) and said I was after a japanese dragon, with some water, clouds and cherry blossoms. So when I went for the first sitting, he had a stencil of the dragon's head, neck and arms. Everything else was free handed by my artist.
This is what I want done next, obviously it won't be identical, but along the lines of:

Oooh, something like 15 hours i think. Such an intricate piece, the collar bone was the most painful part!

Did you have it on the underneath of your arm, up to your arm pit? Becuase if the collar bone hurts more than that im NEVER having one on my collar bone :p

I can imagine lol well worth the pain though, eh?

Nothing for the needle to push up again thats why it hurts, skin = sore.
Then again putting it on to a place with very little skin is sore too (aka collar bone and shoulder bone!)

Yeah it's inside the arm too, goes around the arm pit, not quite inside it, but borderlining! And yes, the collarbone was more painful! Mind you, im pretty skinny so it might hurt me more than you?

Exactly, anyplace there's a bone it's gonna hurt, collar bone and top of the shoulder being the worst in this case. My shin wasn't so bad when I got that done.

You gonna go to Xam for it? I've seen the tattoo you linked in person and it is very nice. I'd highly recommend Xam (and Frith street in general, I have stuff by Stewart and Val).

I've got script above my left knee by stewart and then three traditional pieces by val on my left arm almost making a half sleeve with an elbow piece. There is a gap up my tricep that I'm gonna have either Stewart or Ian Flower (Newskool tattoo) fill with a japanese style snake :) Might book that today actually.

You had anything done there before?

I really wanted to get booked in with Xam because Drew in cardiff is messing me around, however Xam is booked up for ages :(
