1 year and 2 days that’s long enough for any electronic gadgetsI would resist any temptation to upgrade - how long have you had the 1300D?
I owned the A7ii and A7Rii at the same time so it made it an easy choice for meHow the hell are you supposed to choose between the A7iii and the A7Riii? I don't want to make the wrong choice!
The price difference between the A7iii and the A7Riii is only £200 so it seems silly not to go for the A7Riii. :/I owned the A7ii and A7Rii at the same time so it made it an easy choice for me

Almost exclusively landscape photography, i do a lot of exploring when out on my bike, i also want to try and do some Astrophotography, always fascinated me. As for lenses, i was thinking of the 85mm f/1.8 for my first lens but at the moment i'm concentrating on the body and will order the lens once i have the body, in no rush to buy a load of lenses straight away.Depends the A7iii has some advantages and beats the a7riii on some things. It all comes down to what do you propose to photograph the most? And are you planning on buying GM lens/other top end lens as they are pretty much the only ones which can match the a7riii resolution anyway.

All good points. The better AF of the A7iii will come in handy when getting shots of my motorbike in motion, arghh it's a tough choice!A73 has better
AF
more manageable resolution, I don't need 42mp. It cost more in everything from memory cards to time to hard drive space.
The higher MP would be handy for astrophotography as well as landscapes as i'd like to get a few printed out onto a canvas. How did you make your mind up between the 2?Probably best with the R then.
The advantages of the none R haven't bothered me but the extra mp I find a bonus, it has given me more reach when needed and helped with macro. Pixel peeping with the 90mm is also insane but it depends on your use. The AF of the R3 is a big step up from both my 2's and I've not missed any moving subjects as yet. As someone said, what glass are you planning on buying? The price difference between the A7iii and the A7Riii is only £200 so it seems silly not to go for the A7Riii. :/
The first lens i plan to buy is the 85mm f/1.8 so i can at least get out and experience the camera before i go crazy with lenses. I have a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 which i can use with the adaptor until i move over to the E-mount 70-200 if that's a step i need to take. The advantages of the none R haven't bothered me but the extra mp I find a bonus, it has given me more reach when needed and helped with macro. A 30MP A9, I hope they don't do it soon, I've only had my R3 a few weeks
How much better is the AF in real world? I've just briefly tested a canon fit sigma 150-600 with a mc-11 and even that was fast enough for bif. The canon 70-200 works well with updated adaptors.
