Is it worth £85 though? I shouldn't skimp after paying £1700 for the camera but it just seems excessive for a single battery charger.

I also have a £10 one I use a spare phone charger to charge it. It’s a USB powered one and can use powe bank if needed. Basically my travel one.
Nope, you can charge the battery through the camera but you need a charger if you don't want to have your camera plugged in.
Which one did you get??????????

I have 6 Sony batteries now, yes...I bought 4...that's £300 in batteries + £85 for the charger.
+ 2 grips
+ 1 Smallrig L-Bracket
+ 2 Peak Design Straps
+ 4 x 128G SD cards
