I did ask my usual place about testing an EV and they mentioned the brakes depending on the car so it's worth checking. The only thing I did before was check they could get in with the card and drive it as most people would expect to start it somehow before engaging drive. Those of you early adopters who've had to get an MOT, did you just go to a regular garage? Is there a difference between a regular and an electric MOT?
As for brakes disc I've always applied the first couple of brakes myself each journey before relying on regen. The brakes pads are still thick and the discs are rust and score free. Just some slight rust building on the edge of the very edge of rotors where there's no contact.
I do have the upper control arm issue currently on the driver side which should be sorted this weekend at Bristol. I undid the pinch bolt and popped the ball joint out of the carrier and it was stuck fast. Managed to free it up with a rubber hammer but left it at that so it would be a warranty fix.
