Good pointYeah because they were re-branded quality units and only lightly touched by those bunches of ****holes.

Sorry if it's been asked but who will be selling the reference cards if amd don't sell direct?
Usual suspects?
I also can't wait for reviews rom GN and HU... for me it's one of the most interesting and competitive Nvidia/AMD generational launches in over a decade.True. I was also thinking more around proper benchmarking. Embargo lifting. RT Perf testing etc. I feel its about to get very interesting.
Probably have to be a 6800XT/3080 then.
Less than a week until we can miss the 25 cards in stock. Who's going to be abusing their F5 key on the day?
Anyone know when the reviews can be published?
based on what happened with the CPUs the best bet is release date (18th)

I will let the youngsters have their toys for Christmas, will be looking to pick up a card in April once all the AIB cards have been tested side by side and EK have all their blocks announced.
Same fella, my 5700XT right now... I'm playing GRID maxed at 4k and also playing Modern Warefare at 4k (with 83% resolution scaler/optimiser in AMD control panel) and it's smashing 100fps... so kinda thinking normally I'd be buying the latest from AMD, but in this instance I don't actually need it right now, so why rush in... why not sit back let the dust settle a bit now... (he says this now, then goes mental next week ) lol. So the only games I'll be playing soon are Cold War BOPS's and the new DIRT and I'm sure they'll run fine on the 5700xtThink im in the same boat, really tempted to bite on the Reference but i know i will regret it later and end up selling it for an AIB card... got my X Series X to tide me over, im still mainly playing old games my 5700XT smashes anyhow, wifes bought me Cyberpunk for XSX, i have it pre-ordered for PC as well, so i'll just enjoy the XSX version til next year

sorry was using phone and wasn't at PC and couldn't remember what it was called, no i don't have radeon boost dynamic res turned on as I wasn't convinced it was working in certain games... I suppose it does a similar thing but is constantly analysing and chnaging res like the new consoles. I meant Radeon Image Sharpening (RIS), which literally will take the textures and enhacne at a set number so it's consistant, so I set the following:This sounds useful but couldn't see it, do you mean Radeon Boost?
edit - Guessing so, it has a 83.3% setting
Nice use of the feature pug, if it works for you great.sorry was using phone and wasn't at PC and couldn't remember what it was called, no i don't have radeon boost dynamic res turned on as I wasn't convinced it was working in certain games... I suppose it does a similar thing but is constantly analysing and chnaging res like the new consoles. I meant Radeon Image Sharpening (RIS), which literally will take the textures and enhacne at a set number so it's consistant, so I set the following:
Radeon Imagine Sharpening (RIS) = 83%
Radeon Anti Lag = Enabled
Radeon Enhanced Sync = Enabled
Then in my fps games (BF1, BF5 and COD), I usually set them all to native 4k (3840x2160) BUT I then set the render resolution to 83% which is 3187x1793 res. However by using RIS at this resolution I really can see zero difference in game compared to literally not using RIS and using native 4k... BUT get a shed load more fps than native 4k. as a side to side I've taken screen shots at same point and just cannot see the difference but it means i'm getting around 30% more fps if I remember rightly. It's like a poor mans DLSS2.0 I suppose (and yes I know they're not the same before we start that argument again but they have the same end result, running more fps with minimum pq loss or in cases increased image detail).
Is it cheating, yes... who cares, it's a wayyyy better image than 1440 which never looks nice to me on a 4k monitor but allows you to play the game at that higher res. I suppose you could always do it the other way... and set your game to 1440 (which I suppose is what RIS was built for, taking lower quality textures and res and upscaling better), and then in game set to 120% on the textures and use RIS as well... who knows which gives better image, however in Warfare... it looks stunning and means I'm gaming at 100fps with high tesxtures etc. Everyone does it differently but for me, and my eyes this works best.
How does it work?
Is a time published?
I might get my desktop, laptop, work laptop and pound that F5 key on all of them! Parallel processing!
Similar for me. I will want a 5900x, 6800xt + EK Block and a new 144hz monitor to compliment it all. So it'll be a while for me yet, Probably feb-mar timeI will let the youngsters have their toys for Christmas, will be looking to pick up a card in April once all the AIB cards have been tested side by side and EK have all their blocks announced.
