So all I need to do is select amazon pay at checkout and its already done because its linked to my amazon prime account? if so i'll do that thanks.
Just test it without paying on random item and see for yourself. Just make sure it won't ask you for any authorisation from Amazon or your bank otherwise it defeat the purpose

@zx128k stop spamming this topic with your BS nvidia related stuff I'm going to start reporting every single post u make here that is off topic and moderator will get u sorted once and for all

Other than potentially refresh rate, I dont understand anybody who buys these new cards and plays at 1080p?
Well not everyone buys hardware to look how shiny it looks with all graphic settings maxed out. Some people play games competitive (not talking about PRO scene here) so for those people 1% low getting towards 240 Hz on 1080p are veeeeery useful.

Thats why i said potentially refresh rate :(

It's not even refresh rate as it's pretty much maxed out on many other weaker cards. The 1% lows give u way more smooth gameplay with no micro stuttering. If that's what u meant by refresh rate than yeah I guess.
Honestly there is a lot of people who look at this as priority when buying graphic card

Yeah i get it, i play at 1440/144 and the high refresh rate definitely gives you the edge

Bloody hell, both cards are great, it just comes down to price and which one you can actually get. Can we just leave it there?

Yeah its the only way in the current market. Its all very well nitpicking at flaws but if you cant use one then all your doing is discussing to kill time. It could be a different story after xmas if stock flows in fast, you cant bypass the availability yet, there are people still in queues from day 1 and it sucks.

HEY! Not fair! We have to use a nvidia fan specified set of parameters that will move as they're beaten in order to judge it. Same deal as Intel was. It is the way.
It is the way.

He even ignored games he linked in which 6800xt beats the 3080 and implied that the 3080 won. Sad.

But like I said before those reviews excluded games Radeon have a clear advantage in 4k/1440p:
Valhalla
Dirt 5
Godfall

All of which are newer console ported titles being ignored for old games. Looks like ampere is the king of Legacy.

Heck, even in Horizon Zero Dawn the 6800xt beats the 3080 @ 4K. Which also shows that Sony ported games are worth playing on Radeon.
https://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/amd_radeon_rx_6800_and_rx_6800_xt_review/11

https://www.thefpsreview.com/2020/11/18/amd-radeon-rx-6800-xt-and-radeon-rx-6800-review/5/

The problem is that you have to search through the internet to find reviewers who added a more even balance of games. And not just a bunch of old games and nvidia sponsored games.

And it takes using Nvidia sponsor games like control to claim a messly 6%? Haaaa. Nvidia is in trouble once amd optimize their drivers and more ported next gen games are released.

As a point of reference anything below 10% isn't a decisive win.
:D

I have moved to that same thinking now. Unless you are a competitive gamer who is very good, I really can't see the point for a 3080/6800XT or above for 1080P.

Same. As a younger man I did compete at CS original but that was the only game apart from maybe WC3 which is not FPS. Back then and even now the internet connection is more important than anything.

As I live rural and the latency is always poor there is no point in having the best rig in the world if your on >100ms your at a disadvantage whatever hz your gaming at..

Why would you do that? If the posts annoy you that much, there is an ignore function where you don't have to read it. Chill out brother and it is a hobby and some have a little more bias than others.

I have been a gamer since the Atari console and Spectrum days but never been that good in truth. As I get older, I am more of a GFX whore and truthfully, happy gaming at ~45 fps in games for the most. Only FPS I like more but being cannon fodder is the norm for me now :D

Marketing. They are consumed by marketing. They are the dinosaurs of gaming who still believe that all games still follow behind games like cs:go model. Not understanding that most online fps game barely get 60hz tick rate. I think war zone still uses 60hz for example. So using a 240fps on a 1080p, 240hz monitor nets you 0 in a 60hz online fps.

But good luck explaining that to them. They will swear that the smoothness that it brings register hit rego faster then anyone else on the server. ROFL
