I saw one at guru3d forum today who reached 500w but i doubt he can get records. He said -21c and 2850mhz. Good binned gpu but not the best i guess.

Here is some runs of him at various fire strike:

based on previous experience with AMD, if the 6800XT is nearing the Firestrike world record now, AMD will be number one on that board soon but.... knowing Nvidia/EVGA they will get a frankenstein 3090 from somewhere using technology you can’t buy and they will go through and kill 100 3090 chips just to try and beat the top AMD score.

or amd will release a new driver that reduces the max overclock even more, anything is possible :p

It says the 6700XT only has 40CU though, 12 less than the Xbox SX but running around 1Ghz faster, so will 1Ghz make up for 12 CU?

Its still going to be fast tho, a 40 CU 5700XT is = 2070 Super at 1.9Ghz, imagine it with higher memory bandwidth and 2.5Ghz potentially overclocking to 2.7Ghz+ its going to be about as fast as a 2080 Super <> 2080TI, which is about the same as the SX.

If its 12GB and hopefully under $400 given it looks like a 3060TI competitor and that's $400, this might be the $350 card.

Eventually it'll be a $350 part the way things are going for both vendors :p

I don't think there are any cards at msrp other than the extremely limited drop of the Nvidia FE/ AMD Reference

Any news about the Navi 22 / Radeon RX 6700 XT?! It completely disappeared from the news feed!

Checked in here, hard to spot the quality with the tit for tat bickering, great thread title now though! :D

I thought the thread was great I learned that Nvidia can make nicer pancakes than AMD.They don't look better side by side so you wouldn't know the difference unless you were looking for them they need to be experienced and felt.
Nvidia used less ingredients though but they still came out the same size and quality as the AMD ones because of ai. Nvidia also benefit from being able to make pancakes quicker than AMD but Nvidia used a smaller plate. That doesn't matter as you would never use the full plate anyway no matter how hungry you are.

People all over the world are now queuing for these pancakes.

I would ask you to take a picture but I guess it would not do them justice.

Oh dear no wonder RT is not the future, with figures like that. I would be saying the same thing tbh. No amount of "rage" that can solve that.

RT on 6900XT = 3070.
£920 = £470
Double the price same performance.

AMD the consumer choice.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

How many games use ray-tracing? If you’re buying a GPU for ray-tracing at this point, then you’ve either been brainwashed by nVidia marketing or your an nVidia fanboy.

Only Nvidia sponsored ones. Consoles are important and there is no ray-tracing craze there, neither AMD will push it because some people understand that there is nothing in ray-tracing beyond a special shiny sales/marketing feature.

yeah enjoy the 1080p Valhalla.:eek::eek::eek: maybe run it at 720P and you can get 144fps.:D:D

The gamers community has praised 1080p for years - when they were asked to switch to Ultra HD 2160p, they preferred 1080p at ultra-high refresh rates.
They will reap what they sow.

Counter-Strike Go is the same story.

I am buying GPU on a PC for the best IQ, and I am playing 4 RT titles and 3 no RT titles atm.

RT is the next phase of gaming, and will become as common as AA in future titles. Now you need to deal with that fact, or go buy a console.
Or go play Valhalla console port at 1080p :D

1. I’ve got a 1440p monitor.
2. I don’t have Valhalla or tend to play many single player games
3. I have a 2080Ti so have no horse in this race.

For me the worst thing AMD did with the 6900xt is the 2x8 power connector and the cooling. I understand there are people who are going full LN2 but i am more impressed with the performance on air or water since it is a little hard to play games while you pour LN2 on your card. :)
I think the MBA 6900xt and the AIB's with 2x8 pins, have trouble reaching even 2.8 Ghz even if you take them to space to cool them because there isn't enough power on these cards.
LN2 looks nice for world records but that's all, if a regular person is buying a card because it does well on LN2, he is insane.
Any decent LN2 overclocker will have a modded board with far more power going through it.

You also have another option - to play games with classic lighting - or to switch off ray-tracing - not the Nvidia special editions which turn off the classic lighting and ask you $1500 for the RTX 3090 so you get that lighting back with a normal framerate.
