Hi Guys

We are in a position to be offering pricing and pre order for the arrival of stock at the end of next month.

This is an expensive router but is regarded as the best available and will easily outshine the current king the N56U

And finally she arrives!

Been eyeing this for a while I must admit, and was nervous at what price it was going to come out!

A lot of people will look at it and think it's silly money for a router, but the fact is that this thing is blows every other consumer router out of the water in terms of functionality, features, simplicity and, let's face it, it's pretty good looking...

It is a bit more than I was hoping it was going to be, which is a shame, but then this thing is going to be right up there with the performance routers for several more years to come!

RJK, any word if you're likely to get the N56U back in stock, or is everything now waiting on this release?

Hi bJN

The N56U is on order, I imagine that they will be here early next week. Sadly there was a delay from our distributor that has held up our stock.

Suddenly my N56U feels old.... :(

The N56U is still a superb router, this does eclipse it by a long way in terms of functionality and capability.

I will be honest. I was anticipating a higher price than this on the N66U
its good to see ASUS are getting the pricing competative with the highest end Netgear & Cisco solutions.

That's a nice router...but I think I will wait to see what the price of the TP-Link TL-WR2843ND will be.

How does this compare to the cisco e4200? the e4200 is a lot prettier to have hanging about the house but that's a bit of a secondary though. Virgin Superhub is garbage for streaming wirelessly and range.

So no doubt with this baby, I won't need to use the Netgear Virgin Media provided me with when I upgraded to 50Mbps 3yrs ago. Have to say it is about time I upgraded. But damn the price, it's all that's stopping me from getting this.

Also, if anyone who is on Virgin, using 100Mb that is, can this router work with their new modem? I know people were complaining about issues with the Superhub?

Anyway, looks like an epic router.

Cant see any problems with it working with a crappyhub so long as you throw it into modem mode then hook your router up. Lots of people on another forum do this without issue.

Nice and good price, but not enough of an improvemnt over my linksys wrt610N, and with 802.11ac around the corner, might wait this one out

Looks like a fantastic bit of kit, however im stuck with 1.75 to 2 meg adsl on a telephone exchange they have no plans to do any upgrades to (slightly over 400 broadband subscribers). I'd be interested in any modem or router with integrated modem that might be able to stabalise my connection at 2 meg :) I've been using a cheapo safecom brand adsl router since 2004, it gets a faster line speed than the nasty usb thing my isp sent, but does anyone have a recomendation for something likely to improve things further?

So i keep my talk talk router and plug this into it???

I have just ordered the Billion BiPAC 7800N Dual WAN ADSL. Not sure if i should change the order to this?

If your tt router can be set up to bridge to it or in some sort of modem mode then yes, but it wouldnt be a simple plug and play operation otherwise you could end up with problems because there would be 2 routers on the network. I would personally stick with that billion as its a cleaner set up and cuts out your tt modem/router which is doubtless pretty rubbish.
