**THE ULTIMATE ROUTER - ASUS RT-N66U - BACK IN STOCK! **

If I had ADSL, i'd never buy the adsl version of this. What happens if you get infinity or cable in your area in the future? new router?!

I know i'd rather have a seperate modem and a good router such as this.

Surely they could be used as just a router.

Hopefully Asus will take the Dual-WAN approach with the Adsl model, where you have an ADSL2+ port and a separate RJ-45 WAN port which you can connect cable/fibre to.

+1 for adsl version plzzzz! I'm so fed up of finding awesome routers only to find they aren't adsl! Also, ADSL seems to add a disproportionate price hike

How come? It does not mention ADSL anywhere or modem ? Its not misleading at all.
calling it "mainly a cable router" is more misleading.

Its a router, buy an ADSL modem and you can use it with this router. If you have BT Infinity you can use it with the BT modem.

So its not mainly a cable router.

asus have a load of new modems and routers due soon with mental features on all of them

RT-N66U
RT-N56U
RT-N10E
RT-N12E
DSL-N55U
RT-N10U

all of these will be on the OcUK site as soon as they launch and we will be first to market on as many of those products as possible.

Oooooo been considering getting a router for a while now as I'm just using that Virgin media super(lol) hub.... Quite interested in this as tracking the bandwidth usage is very nice

Same scenario, there are some nasty stories about the initial firmware levels these shipped at, some were bricks. I take it OCUK stock will be clean as I would be very interested in dropping the piece of cack that is the "super" hub for something better....

thats the reason for the delay if i am going to be frank and honest about the situation.

as soon as they sort it out then they will be here

Have you ever considered stocking the Draytek range of routers? They cost even more, but bridge the gap nicely between cheap but crappy home routers and expensive business units. Mine has adsl modem built in and a second wan port for another modem for example.

Rumor has it this router is delayed for a further few weeks/month. Any truth to this?

We are working off a delivery time of any time in the next week or two for this now.

Nothing specific has been arranged yet but our distributor is working closely with us and asus to get the product to market as soon as we can.

it will vary depending on the layout of your home but the range on the N56U covers most of the OcUK building and its surroundings so I would imagine this to be similar.
