The United Britain of Great Kingdom

I don't have one. I'm pretty open minded and happy go lucky. I generally like cultural and societal diversity makes life more interesting. I'm in the UK because I enjoy it. If I hated it I wouldn't be here. There are elements I dislike but having lived in multiple countries they all have their flaws and benefits. Currently the UK is where I consider home and enjoy it.

I was joking :)

Yeah its ok you saying that now, when i was 6 Giant Haystacks would have smashed your face in and you would be crying for big daddy to help.
lol - met Giant Haystacks many many years ago when they were touring and came to my local community center. no big daddy as far as i can remember but plenty of other not so roided up big fellas back then.
to be honest i reckon the only thing they could have smashed between them was a trough full of spuds and sausages :p

No, it’s still foreign muck at heart. We’re celebrating all proper British grub like Lancashire hotpot

Suet puddings of all descriptions, steak and kidney, apple etc.
Black puddings and English mustard
Butchers pork chops with a slice of kidney with hot apple sauce.
Lambs liver with onion gravy, mashed potato and bacon.

I could go on. :)

Treacle Tart
Proper Bakewell Tart
Any steamed sponge pudding with custard
Flapjacks (don't know if they're really British or not)
Shepherds/Cottage Pie

Yes please to all of the above + Rob's suggestions. All cracking food.
We have a Portuguese guy at work. Our canteen serves all sorts of cuisine (and of course British), he complained that most things are too spicy. And his favourite meal, was a mini roast beef dinner inside a Yorkshire pudding. Says it all. Simple food, done right, can't be beaten.
