The United Britain of Great Kingdom

Aaaaand there they are, the thread derailers dragging this into another anti UK thread.

Footage of D.P. walking through [insert any place in the UK] when he returns:

Can you explain how the English, or Scottish, legal system is not only different but some how superior to the French, German or Spanish legal systems, and in particular how the differences between English and Scottish law interplay here?

We can the proceed to to the architecture of pur religious buildings, many of the best examples pre-exist the formation of the UK.

I probably could, but I feel like it might be akin to trying to have a conversation about the history and benefits of Christianity with an Islamic terrorist, nothing worthwhile is likely to ensue and it's patently obvious you have issues with England, her history and those that proudly support her.

Did you not bother reading the very first post then?

No one is making this an anti-UK thread unless you try to drag it doen to that. I even posted some of the best positives about the UK. It is just odd that some people seem to misrepresent the UK with bizarre British excepatilism lies. Much better to understand that the UK is not particularly exceptional, and focus accept that the fact that there are no particularly terrible aspects is perhaps the biggest strength.

I am proud to be British, proud to be Scottish, proud to be European, but i am not deluded enough to think that the UK is in any way particularly special compared to dozens of other similarly developed countries with an equally long history of exploitative colonialism.

It is this British excepatilism attitude which is extremely damaging to the UK, and is since i am proud to be British and care about British people, i will flight these dangerous attitudes.

so that is a firm no then. Don't feel ashamed, i am not a legal expert on foreign and domestic laws, but i would have thought you would be able to explain at least 1or 2 aspects that were important. I also thought it was odd since the UK has multiple legal systems but you didn't specify if your opinion applied to all or only a subset.

The fact is, the English and Scottish legal systems are as similar and different as the English is to French or German.

And the usual replies complaining at a phones spell checker rather than the content of the post because they have no actual argument to make

If you actually read the first post then the poster asks what you like about the UK, not if that chosen thing is better than how other countries do it. Instead you just jumped in, trashed half the posts and now you are ranting about colonialism.
