***The Unofficial Samsung Galaxy S III LTE (I9305) Thread***

All looking good on the charging front so far. I've switched to Ripper ROM and am using a HTC cable and charger which has 5 pins as opposed to Samsung which has 4 pins in the USB.

Apparently this makes a big difference when charging the phone.

I had a problem with charging on Wanam (though it's not ROM related) where it was taking unusually longer to charge the phone and I've had to unroot and go back to EE VALI5 ROM and now the phone is charging as it should.

It's really strange what's going on, it's been such a mission flashing ROMs and unrooting, installing apps again, it's not how I wanted to spend Saturday afternoon. I'll try swapping cables because apparently on XDA users state that the Samsung cables are of poor quality.

I see. I would like the AOSP pattern lock instead of Samsungs. Which JKay mod are you using stoosh?

Charging problems - ugh. So many little issues can crop of from tinkering. Glad its sorted.

JKay Mod has the AOSP pattern as well as others, it also has the ink effect on the lock screen when you touch the screen Mate.

JKay has also successfully manage to change the clock colour to blue to match the AOSP look and the S3 looks completely AOSP.

ATM I'm using JKay Mod 14.7 with the delxue settings which have to be paid for via the Play store.

The phone looks really good and I'm pleased with it, also the battery problem has disappeared for now! :D
 
Jkay sounds cool - will have to try that at some point - probably with Wanamlite.

You have a tough choice now whether to use the S3 or N4 :D

JKay is awesome Mate, the amount of customisations you can do is enormous!

I do have a tough choice, I've gone back to the S3 for the time being but the N4 really is a good phone.

You know how it is having a pure Google phone, it's quality!

Never quite understood all the "pure google" comments :confused:

I've got various android phones / tablets including a N7 and by the time I've used the freedom/power of android to set them up they all look / behave the same :)

I love using my S3 but I also love using the N4, they both do the same thing but it just feels different....i wish I could explain myself better but I cant! :eek:

Am loving Ripper by the way!

Currently hating Ripper, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it works well with JKay & JB Dom looks sweet.......


It's left me with no excuse to fiddle with the phone at all :mad:



* I must admit that if I had to pay for the phone I'd have ended up with the N4, the offer from T-mobile on the S3 LTE was just to good !

I have been Googlefied!! LOL! Is there any cure?

You gave me a heart attack for a second when you said yoy hated Ripper..It is incerdible isnt it? Im really happy with the ROM too and JKay and JB is the icing on the cake.

Tell you what if you got a good deal with T Mobile then you're onto a winner! The S3S LTE is not the kind of phone you can turn your nose up at. It ticks all the right boxes!
 
@ Stoosh - Pure Google is kinda meh for me too since I like the TW mods, plus when themed its almost AOSP. The stock AOSP dialer is slick though - sliding across panes.

I use exdialer - with an old ICS theme.


Pandoriam 5.7 is out today - woot! Going to give it a try hoping it will fix my FC's.
 
Flashed Pandoriam-5.7 straight over my old 5.5 build and my FC has dissaperead. Well chuffed!.

Also chose blue clock while I was in Aroma - JB Theme and Perseus have been updated too. All round woop! :D

Yep, I like I actually got a notification when the ROM was ready to download.

Pandoriam may be 2 or 3 days still for the update I think -

Just advising I am aware of the new Firmware LL5 and i am in progress of Pandoriam v6.0 but i aint in no rush.

Since we don't what LL5 adds I'm in no rush to update either. Phone is running smoothly right now.

Watched a couple of your vids on YT andy (ripper + jkay) - keep up the great work.
 
Thanks mate. I have over 300 video's on my Hemorrdroids channel, but now moving out on my own.

One note, I'd been getting really bad battery with LL3, I mean like 10 hours total, but today on LL5 I went 8 hours and used only 35%...
