The Updated X2 3800+ Overclocking Thread ...

I could add a column for stability, but I don't know who at the top was stable and who wasn't, as well slightly further down the list. Would people prefer to see only the stable clocks (which would probably be more useful) or to have the column for stability (which allows people's e-penises to grow)? ;)

I'm not overly bothered about screenshots tbh. You can link to them, but I don't want a load of massive screenies clogging up the thread. I think it just simpler if it's taken on trust for the most part, although people doing the suicide shots are welcome to give evidence if they want.

Thoughts and opinions?

OK, I'll just highlight in red those that aren't stable. That's probably easiest. Although let it be known that I'm making guesses here, so if I put you as unstable incorrectly, poke me and I'll change it.

I've also knocked a few people out of the table because I hardly had any of their details - people have had quite long enough by now to fill me in ! If you've been dropped, you know what to do.

UPDATED TABLE to here, anyway.

hmm perhaps you could add another colomn to the table with maybe a superpi score then u can see how much an over clock improves the time, i for sure would like to no what 2.6 gets or high , to compare to mine

but, just s suggestion
I like the idea, but it would be too hard to actually get the information really. Most of the data in the table was compiled from the other 3800+ thread. To actually get people to post (and some have left / been banned anyway) all their Pi times would be a mission. That's quite apart from the RAM speed and timings etc.

However, this has been mentioned before, so we'll see what other people say :)

Gonna test full stability tomorow, i noticed that everyone over 2.5ghz is running on 3x HT, is it ok to be running on 4x still?
You should be running at 3x HT Multi now...

FSB x HT Multi <= 1000

... as a rule

F@H is a much tougher test of stability than Prime imho.
Natrually! F@H is best for everything. Not that I condone using F@H for testing (and you should NOT be submitting any results obtained), but anyone reading this should be folding for Team 10. See sig.

@ weescott ... I believe you've changed your board from what I had you down with, so I've left it out in this update. Looking forward to seeing how far you / you maniacs can push that CPU :)

Thanks for your input Cal_G!

TABLE UPDATED

Some people have said that steppings would be a useful addition to the table. That's fine by me - post them and I'll stick them in another column.

UPDATED TABLE

I've put in a new column for steppings and gone through this thread to find all of those posted. It would be great if people in the table who know their steppings could post them so that I can add them to the table. As normal, if you're new, just post your details and I'll add you to the list.

:)

Ok, here's my stable clock(seems stable, I've ran 12 hours dual prime95 once)

2800mhz-htt 280-ram 200-timings 2-3-2-5, ht 3x- vcore 1.55V- custom watercooling- manchester core- DFI sli-dr expert
You'd already posted your details . Though if you prefer, it's because I'm psychic !

Anyway, I'll leave your stepping out for the minute, unless you can confirm it. I'll update your RAM speed later on :)

TABLE UPDATE

Cuscus97 ... I'm looking to get a water setup in about a month. Probably a 120.3, like that setup you've posted. I know you don't have it any more but can you remember the temps you were getting with it? Also, what did you run the CPU at 24/7? Thanks!

lol er thought it wasnt right, got a pic of it when i bought it you see cant quite make it out lol, if i post a link to the pic from my site can you have a look and let me know? i was just zooming in from Windows pic viewer!
That would be 05. The first two are the production year (05 = 2005) and the second two are the week (here, its 38).

I'll make an update later on. Thanks for the input everyone! :)

TABLE UPDATED

Many thanks to all the new comers and people with their steppings!

There are 67 people in the table now  - I never realised it would be so successful!

Great table, really useful when clocking.
Thanks dude! That's what I did it for, so I'm glad it's appreciated.
