There's also something nice about vaping with a subtank mini in a mech.

Using the Gizmo at 0.8 is awesome but those 18500's don't last very long do they? Never mind how much juice you can go through.

I do like stealth though, and being able to stick your vape in a pocket without crippling yourself if you bend or sit down is great.

The eNVy17 is to take on holiday - with a Nano , i don't rate the tank it came with much.

They undervalue stuff to avoid import duty. I've never heard of anyone paying tax/duty.

That cotton will do but this is the wire you need

http://www.wireandstuff.co.uk/products/Kanthal-Type-Wire.html

I'd persoanlly say grab a spool of 24 and 26 gauge

Edit: used my Velocity this evening after not touching a dripper in a week or two and I forgot how good flavour is compared to my tanks

I'd get these (https://www.fasttech.com/p/2706700) batteries instead, they're the latest version with better charge cycles.

Charger wise I'd look at either the Xtar VC2/4 or the Nitecore D2/D4. I can recommend the Xtar VC4 (link) which I use currently. I'd recommend a 4 slot charger over the two, no doubt you'll be picking up more batteries in the future and having the extra capacity will be a bonus. With the VC4 though, make sure you have a good adapter for it as requires 2.1A to charge at the max rate (1A).

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1...thentic-samsung-2a-usb-ac-wall-charger-travel should work fine, however I use an Anker 6 port jobby that puts out 2.4A over each port (60W max)

I'd also say if you want your stuff to arrive quickly, put your batteries & iStick in seperate orders. Then the rest of the stuff in another. Choose the UK Express Packet option too, quickest I've had was 6 days from dispatch to my door.

I received some earlier this week. They took 12 days to arrive with the standard shipping method (Sweden Post).

IC3 just to help you out a bit on battery saftey.

For a coil run at 100w I personally would run any lower than 0.44ohms, 0.33 at 75w and 0.22 at 50w.

Running those resistances/wattages means you will draw at most 15amps from a battery giving you a 25% head room on what they are rated for

Thanks guys for the tips and links, really appreciate it! :)

Just got back from the fest, not too bad but food still silly money.. Loaded up with juice; Digbys had a good deal on, some bord juice which is jolly nice and 12oz of flavourings for my DIY.

One minor highlight was watching someone's tent get blown a good 100 foot into the sky :D

Now to bed because I had almost zero sleep Friday due to a bunch of loud fools and someone else who brought a generator to power their selfishness

I really wanted to go to this but all the nearby hotels were booked and I didn't fancy slumming it.

On a side note I had a nice reminder about battery safety today...noticed my vt40 getting really warm. I'd only gone and put my old Panasonic battery in there whilst my efests were charging...they're rated at 10amps so probably not the best of ideas whilst chain vaping at sub ohm builds.

Won't be doing that again anytime in a hurry.

I think I be going if only for the day next year too...

When it comes to batteries I tend to have batteries all rated roughly the same.. So I don't have to worry about which battery for which mod, which mod for which atty and so forth.

Any fan boys of the Velocity RDA should have a look at the STRO mini... ;)
I'm going to see if there's any UK vendors yet.

Best places for buying components to build a mod?

The Sigelei 75w is perfect for day to day use but I'd like something high wattage for dripping at home and fancy a DNA200 device.

After 11 days with the Aspire Triton I have had to give up to much leakage mainly from the bottom area and a lot of spitting and the final straw was today when I got a mouthful of juice.

I have taken the whole thing apart cleaned it etc about 3 times and each time it's starts off ok then goes back to how it was.

Do you think it's just a dud I got and would be fixed with a new coil? Or should I just write it off. It's easily the most expensive tank I have bought at 22 quid so would be hard pushed to buy the same again to see if I have a better experience.

Any one have a similar experiences or ideas I could try to possibly fix it?

When you fill it are you leaving a small air bubble, in other words are you filling it right to the underside of the fill holes ?

Not had any leakage at all from mine using the 0.4 coil head.

Cheers all

I tend to fill it so that both sets of holes were covered, should I be filling more or less? The instructions are non existent! I initially suspected that I was getting liquid down he middle tube when filling but I have ruled that out with some delicate filling to ensure I wasn't. The leakage seems to be mainly coming from the bottom air value.

Not sure about the air gap its just force of habit when I fill my Kayfuns, but if the Kayfun is full to the brim it will leak juice out of the bottom air hole in the atty.

Try it with less juice in it.

When filling the Triton, are you putting it back to "vape" mode before putting the top back on? If so, that's your problem.
When you put the top back on it creates pressure in the tank. If it's in "vape" mode then it pushes juice in to the coil. When it's in fill mode the coil is isolated from the tank.

So, turn to fill mode, take top off, fill, put top back on, THEN turn back to vape mode.

I had leaking before I started doing it this way and since then it's not leaked a drops.

Thinking about it I think I may have been switching to vape mode before putting the top back on. I think I remove top, switch to fill, fill, switch to vape then put top on. Gonna give your suggestion a go now. Fingers crossed

Thanks

Vapour Boutique in Nottingham has them - http://www.vapourboutique.co.uk/#!product/prd2/4232982671/sacred-mods---stro-mini

Myepack now back out of stock of the D2, just hope I managed to snag one, really enjoying nickel building at the moment, found with the rba+, pull the coil down as close to the air hole as possible for the best results, leaving it sitting higher up gave me too much of an airy vape.

Edit: my D2 has shipped to be with me tomorrow, yey!!!!!!!!!!

Nice... shame that they only have the white and copper in stock at the moment.. they look like a good store with loads of authentic gear.

EDIT: ok... page 1 wss authentic, the rest are clones.

Got my cool fire 1 from them when i started out. They also sold my friend a clone Four 9 at authentic prices which he wasn't happy about.

I'm edging to a dislike of clones, I would rather buy an cheap authentic say a mini goblin than a clone rta at the moment.. because from experince the authentic will work better than the clone; no matter how good the orginal it was clone from.

But each to they own, as long as it's marked up and priced as a clone... people know what they are buying...
