Just ordered 2 120ml bottles of 'nana cream from bombies.

Ordered directly from bombies in the US so hopefully it will show up. Works out a hell of a lot cheaper than the tiny bottles from UK suppliers.

200 Watts is not necessary for most vapers, What I'm lead to believe is that they setting down the ground work future mods. In America there's a grandfather loop hole for laws, and they are trying to get all existing vape equipment on to the loop hole.

What it basically means is that now that they have a 200w device and chip, IF the US government agrees that all existing vape devices are grandfathered.. and made legal as they already exist, it means that they can make chips and mods anywhere upto 200 watts and they will still get by that loop hole.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandfather_clause

American logic..

Can't really say I've been too impressed aesthetically with the DNA200 devices, none of them do much for me and there is some right pig ugly mods out there too. Can't really say I dig the lipo batteries either.

My advice is to wait as there will be much better looking mods coming out in the not so distant future with the DNA chip that goes to around 130w or so and will run on 18650 batteries.

;)

My Dual SX will keep me more than happy till these arrive. It's such a stunning bit of kit (inside and out!) with a superb vape.

200 watts is overkill for most vapers, however we cant rule it out just because we don't like a piping hot vap.
You can already get a DNA200 mod that's running on 2x 18650 batteries, just not from the big mainstream makers, and there are shapeways printed boxes if you want to build your own.
As for the lipo thing, im not a fan of these either, I prefer a mod I can swap out my batteries when out and about, however I have decided to order the HCigar mod, as its one of the better looking boxes, but there is now also the EFusion which is simply a slightly taller version of the ESquared box I already have and I have be given to believe that the makers may release an 18650 sled that can be used to replace the lipo it will have by default... and I have already been thinking of the possibility of making a custom 18650 sled for the HCigar mod, if there is room inside, it would not be so hard to make, just needs to be wired for serial and have the right connectors fitted so it could be plugged into the existing lipo batteries connectors and the balance charge board.

I'm not a fan of LiPo batteries for mods at all. As an RC enthusiast (multicopters and helis) I've learned to fear and respect LiPos due to their instability and habit of swelling if not treated correctly.
For example, all of my RC LiPos are stored in a .50 ammo canister in the middle of a concrete floor in the garage.

Not sure I want a LiPo in my bag getting bashed around.

Question for all those who already have their IPV D2, does the mod allow you to turn the wattage down below the given minimum power or does it stop at that minimum wattage that it can give?

i.e. on a 0.5ohm coil, will the wattage stop at 27 watts? or does it allow the user to believe it can go lower?

I have no issues either way, as IMHO 0.5ohm coils don't start to work until 20-30 watts range.

Thanks in advance, I'm still waiting for mine; but I seem to be mechin' it most days at the moment anyway.

Anyone?

I'm lost! that wasn't me... my initials are BB :P

I know, it was my mistake, I'd FR the wrong person. But I've sent one to the right person now. I'm the dude with the fraggles in my profile pic.

Hi Roman, ive seen many who say they don't need to be spaced, but you have to be very careful dry burning the coils, if you over heat them they glow a bright white and this causes oxidization and is very dangerous, but if you pulse at very low power till they warm up, then you can, personally ive been making mine on the coil master and then spacing them out.

Just ordered some 0.5 & 0.4 TI wire do the coils need to be spaced unlike NI200 ?

Cheers all

Tried both spaced and not, no real difference. As for oxidization :
From wiki
titanium metal and its alloys oxidize immediately upon exposure to air. Nitrogen acts similarly to give a coating of the nitride.[clarification needed] Titanium readily reacts with oxygen at 1,200 °C (2,190 °F) in air, and at 610 °C (1,130 °F) in pure oxygen, forming titanium dioxide

I sat with the lights off and pulsing in wattage mode, could see the coil glowing a dull red, enough for me to pinch the coils together with no visible oxidization.

Thanks for the info, I had read about not dry burning the coils.

Will try non spaced first using my little coilmaster too.

Just upgraded the Sx Mini firmware for TI mode 5 minutes ago ;)

And also fitted a wrap on the Smok X cube 2, its no longer a fingerprint magnet!

Cheers all

SV is really full of some tools.

So yday had the little debate about sub boxes being good for beginners, some people disagreed, of which I have no problem with, a certain Mr Frape being one of them.

Today a noobie to vaping uploads a picture of one. Certain Mr Frape asks what mod it is...

So yesterday he says a sub box is bad for beginners, today he learns what one is. I call him up on it and he just throws memes at me 'like don't give a ****'. Then his bumchum Guss comes in and tells me to stop being a ****

No wonder a lot of the community can't stand them.

Just received my .5 OCC coil heads from Kanger direct.

When did the start using vertical coils in them? Every lot I've had from them has been normal coils. The box in the same, the product number etc.

I've come to the conclusion that 90% of the vape community are tools

LMAO... I won't comment; as a lot of them know me and I have the same nickname across most of the sites.

Can't justify the price yet for the DNA200 mods will wait for them to come down. I did manage to find a UK supplier for the Kanger Subox and they have a 15% bank holiday sale on so the Kanger kit cost me £39, which isn't too bad. I also ordered some of the new 30Q Samsung batteries from Torcy. The LG HG2s perform very similar and is slightly cheaper but I like Samsung as a brand. Fingers crossed they all come tomorrow, does Torchy ship same day and send first class?
