I usually turn my juice control between 1 and a half to 2 turns as i'm currently using a 70vg liquid.
I currently vape her at 30-35 watts and that is sufficient. No dry hits or gargling.

How are you wicking. Are you using cotton?.

I set mines up the same every time. I originally had a 0.5 ohm and now a 1.2 ohm single coil in mines. I put Jap cotton through a single coil and through to the opposite notch of the ceramic cup. I then pull the excess cotton that hangs out and pull it back on itself, back into the cup and in and around onto the other notch of each side. I then trim the excess off to form to complete and flush barrier so that when the chimney is placed on it does not snag in the chimneys threads. I. then prime the cotton with juice including the cotton at the threads and then I fill and put her together.

I hope that makes sense especially as I am writing it on my phone but I have had nothing but perfect vapes with this set up.

Picked up another Kayfun V4 from my local store this morning going to run this one with the poly tank on it instead of the glass, how far do you fill it Gregg without it flooding?

The rose or my kayfun 4 roman?

I use the poly tank with kayfun 4 and fill it right to the top.

The rose I screw on the chimney and then the bottom 2 parts of the body,fill to top of clear section then screw on the top. You sometimes get a small bit of excess come out the airhole if its left open but a little blow clears out the few drops thats gathered. As for the juice control mines about a full turn away from its removal point. Ive wicked it with rayon and I may be packing it too tight into the slots so Ill keep trying but its working a treat. Very pleased with it

When I fill the rose I keep the airflow hole shut & the chimney screwed down, once full turn it the right way up let a bit of juice in my turning the chimney then open the airflow on it.

Also always use the stand/tool if you have one to tighten & undo they atty a lot easier that way.

Hi Chris,

Most people here would recommend an eleaf istick and aspire nautilus mini as the best entry level kit, as is small but the best bang for the bucks at a very resonible price. They are very popular and many vendors do offer them as a package. The adjustable power and air flow makes a world of a difference.

The EVOD tank you have wont work with the istick thou, not with the adaptor that comes with the istick anyway.

Forget eGos these days. If you want something small, grab an eLeaf iStick.

The istick is no longer king of the mini mods, the cloupor mini took its crown.
very close in size but with much better power range, so if you decide to go beyond cleros it will still work, sub tank, atlantis, rda's and rbtas, this thing is amazing and we'll built.
uk store prices are a bit higher than the istick, but ft does it cheap if you can wait for the delayed delivery.
but the istick is still a very good starter battery.

I got vape mail today! kayfun 4 arrived and the mutant x

Hows that mutant x coil looking? never made one for a dripper before.

I took a few blasts on it and jesus Christ I almost choked haha! but strangly, the clouds coming from it aren't that fantastic, but the hit, pwoarh its enough to knock a horse out.

If that's your first rda coil build, well done, looks nice.
as for clouds, what ohms and power you using, adjust the airflow.. too much or too little will reduce your vapor output.

Yep my first rda coil, erm its come out at 0.8 ohms, 28g kanthal 9 wraps each coil. im thinking I should have made 10 wraps. for around 1ohms, never sub ohm vaped before.

Yeah im trying to find a sweet spot with the air flow, but it doesn't seem to be like instantly just producing vapour like my protank 2 mini.

Also its not crackling much then all of a sudden will get a big crackle.

and iv tried all power from 5w all way up to my maximum of 20 that my vamov6 can do

I think you could do with a bit more cotton in there. Looks a bit loose

Is that a V1 clone? You'll have to find your own sweet spot with the airflow, but I'd say to block the first three airholes on the left and go from there.

@IceShock, .8 ohm dual coil and 20w.. that's partly your problem, you could do with more power, the fact you say it's slow to ramp up is a sign, the vamo is not the greatest and i think it uses pulse fire which doesn't help.

Looks good, try bigger coils.

This is an old pic of a build I did in the MX, comes out at 0.5 Ohms. I forget the details, think it was 3mm ID with .35 or .37mm kanthal.

E: it was 2.5mm ID with ,37mm Kanthal.

ill have another go at the mutant later, but for now, just made a 1.8ohms coil, 28g kanthal on my kayfun v4, and HOLLLLLEY MOLEY this thing is perfect. its everything the 3.1 did but 100x better, no leaks no dry hits, no nothing, its just perfection. iv found my favourite vape I think now. this thing makes some serious clouds

this is what my coil looks like before I wet it and bent the wicks down:

UKD is right. You really do want to be putting a bit more power through there, but you could happily get away nicely with 1-1.1ohm odd dual coil with 28g in there.
I have an 0.9ohm dual 28g coil in a Plume Veil atm alongside an 0.25 dual 24g in the MX2 fwiw.

I'd also recommend raising the coils a bit too. Try and get them near the top of the posts. This'll allow more airflow underneath and may increase flavour as it effectively reduces their distance to the top of the chamber. Works for me anyway
