Aromamizer arrived today! Turned up just before I had to drive to uni so I slapped a quick couple of claptons in there, instantly better than my Lemo 2, but still lacking a bit on flavour and needed 120W just to get a warm thick vape. Since I got back, I've plonked a pair of vertical triple twisted titanium coils in it, 24 AWG, 4.5 wraps, 2.5mm ID, comes out at 0.03 ohms which is crazy low, but with 120W preheat and at 285C, it hovers nicely at ~60W mid-draw. Flavour is , that same "droplets of juice" flavour as a dripper, and the tank keeps up with chaining high VG no problem. Very easy to build on, very easy to wick, dead chuffed!

Very thankful for this thread, every recommendation/purchase has been stellar!

Oh ****! Reading that just threw my mind back to being VERY drunk on Saturday, and I think I ordered an Aromamizer RDTA from Fasttech.

Just logged in... and I did! Woohoo!

At the moment I'm using a Fountain V2 squonker clone. Really good, and it was only about 9 quid!

Probably because I loaded everything with flavouring. Less is probably more, in most cases.

Yep, I can definitely attest to this! Read somewhere that too much flavouring can actually overload your taste recepters and cause you to taste less, which I tested and confirmed by scaling the % of my mixes down a notch. For example, one I've been vaping quite a bit is 6% FA banana and 2% FA cookie, but dropping these to 4.5% and 1.5% actually improved the flavour!

Good call! You won't be disappointed, I love it already! Wicked it perfect first time, hasn't leaked a drop, even on it's side (had to test :D).

A Uwell Crown from a Nautilus is a Big jump... and unless you ordered the RBA with the tank, the wire will be no use as the tank is primarily for coil head, 2 usually included with the tank.

The Uwell Crown is a damn good flavour tank, but with the RBA, you need to wick it right or it will leak...

35w with the stock .5ohm SS coils is a bit weak, they shine over 40w and much more, ive hit them at 90W in power mode and 55w in TC...

wait, it's advertised as a rebuidable, it must come with the base to build on..no?
oupsss..I just checked the order again, no mention of the deck...return I guess:(
I dont see a way of ordering the deck separately in UK without costing me almost double
I have to keep looking untill I find them together
Fasttech seem to have both the tank and the RBA

I think it's 1-2 weeks wait but it would cost me a lot less.

I know my istick is a bit underpowered, I might get mod soon, do you have any recommendations ?

Ok question for you DNA200 nuts, got my LostVape Efusion DNA200, updated escribe, updated firmware on device and downloaded the settings file from the DNA200 forum. Right thats the easy part done, my main issue is the DNA200 seems to be reading resistance a little off compared to my DNA30 and DNA40 devices and meter, Kayfun4 at 1.12 on both, on the meter its 1.13, but on the DNA200 its 1.16. Now the escribe software has internal mod resistance which is changed to in the settings to 0.006ohm in the field...so would this be the reason and make my DNA200 more accurate than my meter and 2 other dna's.
All of the above is with Kanthal. Not trying TC till i work this out as it could screw it up.

Still not used my Aromamizer yet either, not sure why either lol

I knocked up my first few batches of diy juice yesterday, and the 2 I've tried have been better than expected. Followed some advice from this thread and bought 5l of Vg from Lubrisolve along with 250ml of 72 ml/mg nic from Darkstar. Removed 250 ml from the 5l of Vg and added the 250ml of nic to give me 5l of 3.6mg nic Vg mix (no idea on the maths behind this as that's not my strong point, but feel free to enlighten me).

I ordered a few different flavours from flavour art and just tried some 10ml mixes, whereby I used 9 ml of my Vg/nic mix and 1 ml of flavour concentrate. I expected them to be minging for a first attempt to be honest. But after steeping for around 12 hours (single flavour) they're actually not bad. Missing a certain something that I can't put my finger on, but very vapable.

Tried doing some mixes today. I've mixed just the concentrates together and I'll let them steep for a few days before adding the Vg/nic mix to see how that goes.

Overall, after sampling, I've knocked up 10 x 30ml bottles. Buying from local shop that would have cost between £100 and £150 depending on juice. I estimate it's cost me less than £10 so well worth experimenting with.

Good to hear! Dead simple really isn't it? And as you get used to how strong certain flavours are and what you can combine, it only gets better :D

As for the maths, simple way to do it is to add up all the nicotine you have and divide by the total volume:

250ml of 72mg/ml, 72 * 250 = 18000mg of nicotine total (sounds a lot when you say it that way!)

Then 18000mg / 5000ml gives 3.6mg/ml.

When you dilute that a little by adding 10% flavour concentrate you get 3.24mg/ml in your final mix.

Just make sure you give your 5 litre jug a good shake before you fill up a bottle from it, I've heard nicotine rises to the top, no idea how much so, but it's an easy thing to do, last thing you want is a shock 50mg mix or something.

100ml of home-brew will set you back anywhere between £4-10, depending on the concentrates you use and how strong you want it. I only vape 1mg now so it's peanuts and my Nic base lasts me ages!

The majority of FlavourArt's concentrates are all brilliant, I've probably got near enough 100 of them. Capella on the other hand, I tend to stick with their fruit ones. Whatever you do, do NOT get their Glazed Doughnut - it smells & tastes like Playdough.

FA get from FlavourArt.co.uk - 6 bottles for £15 - take your pick!
Capella (CAP): http://thee-cigshop.co.uk/
Chefs Vapour
Leisure Liquids
Vapable (free delivery over £10)

I can recommend your first 3 Capella ones to be:
Juicy Peach
Sweet Strawberry
Sweet Tangerine

With regards to your Nic base, depending on how it's been stored, I'd probably pick up a new bottle. The best way to store it is in an amber glass bottle and then put in the freezer. I store mine in a mini-fridge I have in my room in an amber glass bottle.

Darkstar Vapour & Pirates Vape are my two go-to sellers.

VG I get from eBay - there's a seller called Lubrisolve. IIRC it's about £7 for a litre. PG is from Classikool (eBay), again about £7-9 for a litre.

I'd fully recommend mixing by weight as opposed to ml's. It's SO much easier and you have literally nothing to clean up afterwards.

Apologies this is a little basic (I'm at work) but if you need any more information dude feel free to drop me a trust message and I'll go into further detail.

I've been busy all day so couldn't reply earlier. But that's great info and links, Gee, thanks!

I see flavours I want with TPA and Capella but nothing much of interest from FA. Capella has an apple pie concentrate and a vanilla custard which is perfect because that's all I want to make at the moment, apple pie and custard. Capella concentrates seem a very good price at vapourdepot.

Do you mean literally freeze nicotine solid? I've only got a small undercounter fridge with a standard icebox. I guess it can go in there, but not much room left for my fishfingers :p My current nic has just sat in it's bottle in my kitchen but seems to be fine.

Now about mixing with weight. I've looked at some videos and yep, looks much better! I'll probably still get a 1ml syringe just for the nic and a couple of 10ml syringes for PG and VG.

What about scales? I've got this Salter in my kitchen, do you think it'll be accurate enough?

In theory the DNA200 will be far more accurate, both your DNA30/40 will not be accounting for the mods internal resistance like teh DNA200 does, plus they cannot read to as many decimal points as the DNA200, so it is more accurate, however, with the DNA200 it is even more important to make sure the 510 threading on Both the mod and Atty are very clean otherwise this can throw it of or even cause TC not to work, ive seen it happen on a few different DNA200 mods.

SRVapes do a package deal where you get the tank and RBA together, but it does add about 5-6 £ to the cost, FT is the cheapest place to get the tank and RBA and worth the wait, as for 2 weeks, sometimes it can be fast or slower, i order an OBS Crius on the 16th this month and it arrived on the 24th :)

As for mod suggestions, if you like the size of the istick, have an external charger and your own 18650's, want TC and enough power but cheap... IPV D2 or the newer D3, both on FT and around £28 - £41 delivered.

Thanks for explaining that. I was on the right lines but when I got a figure of 18000 I thought I must be wrong, haha!

Nice tip about shaking the nic mix as well, I'll bear that in mind.

Thats what i was thinking, but was unsure - not quite sure how i can prove the DNA200 is correct or my DNA30/40 and meter are lol, i mean i guess 1.12 dna30/40 to 1.16 dna200 on kanthal is still within the limit of the coil parameters.

If you want a nice Custard & Apple flavour, FA do one called CustApple which is REALLY nice imo - takes about 2-3 days for it to come through though, think I mixed that at 5%.

I understand Capella do make an Apple Pie concentrate, but I'd get the Version 2 they do - that doesn't contain any nasty ingredients (Acetoin, Diacetyl, Acetyl Propionyl). ALL of the Capella 'V2' range has zero of these nasty ingredients in FYI.

With my Nic base, I decant 30ml into a little squeezy bottle and use that. Ideally you want to minimise the amount of air getting to your Nic as the Oxygen breaks it down,. I have a little undercounter fridge like yourself so I just keep it in there, had it since around May time and it is the same colour as when I bought it - just keep it out of direct sunlight!

For your PG/VG - I can fully recommend these. Nice big capacity and a huge spout - I just fill it up every now and again when it's nearly empty.

Scales - ideally you want some that measure down to 0.01g. 0.1g is fine for big batches (250ml+) but anything smaller you want some precision ones like this.

Hope this helps bro!

Lubrisolve is cheapest place for nicotine too. They don't advertise it on their ebay site but miles cheaper than Darkstar.

I just ring up and order all my stuff over the phone from Lubrisolve nowadays.

I didn't know they did Nicotine tbh.

What's the quality like? How much is it too?

Cheers!

I was wondering if you had, Rilot.

Still, £6.25 for 10ml of vendor bought juice can't be bad. The thread I found it on facebook (UK Vaperz), only had good things to say.

I can't seem to find any opinion or reviews on the juices at all. Care to link it?
