I smashed through the .5 coil in just over a week at a constant 75w, it can handle big power that's for sure.

My crius v3 is here, nice simple kanthal build first me thinks. Also randomly found a roll of 24awg n80 in my tool box at work, never tried nichrome.

Thinking about be creative with vertical coils on the crius v deck, wrap the outside of the coils with cotton, allowing airflow to run through the centre?

Interesting idea PG, if you manage it, put up pictures before and after wicking please, id love to see them... Im sure they will fit better than my Horizontals did, but the wicking could be fun.
The V3 deck is not massivly bigger than the V1/2, i had to really put on the legs to put the coils tight onto the bit id wrapped them around, it was still a tight fit, but boy does it work well, tonnes of flavour, ive got Comsic Fog, The Lost Fog Collection - Streek, in the tank and its very good

Need some help with my DIY Flavour : (

Bought x6 Concentrates from Vapable all 10ml

Blackcurrent Berry Juice and Skittles ive made so far. All using 80VG/20PG @3mg Nic. 14% concentrate.

And ermmm crap, very very very harsh on the throat its like smoking raw nicotine.

All my Supplies are from Vapable so the nicatine is 75mg/l.

This is the basic recipe I followed is;

Once mixed in 30ml bottles I use a syringe to mix and leave the cap off for 24hrs then store for 3 days and its terrible. So strong and un vapable.

When I buy other DIY juice I can vape it the same day and its perfect. Where am I going wrong?

Been told possibly use the measurements without nic and see if its that, or dilute my nic with distilled water? Also been told to shake the nic which I did not do.

Please help ha!!!!

I'm gonna take a guess that your Nic base is 72mg not 75mg so make that change on your calculator and see what comes up.

14% for a single concentrate seems very high too, are there no recommended percentages for each flavour on Vapable?

EDIT: Aniseed Black Jack, that's not FlavourArt by any chance is it? If it is 14% is DEFINITELY too high!

Next one to try is DarkStar as its what a couple of our local juice makers use

I've just recently picked up 250ml from DarkStar so will let you know how it is!

It wants me to add 0.5ml of nicotine so I guess that will be even stronger. It's the Capella range and I read the reviews etc and most said 14% was a nice flavour hit. I think the harshness is coming from the nicotine will try a tester with no nicotine @14% and see what it's like. Shame cos I'm in Milton Keynes so miles away from home to try and make more until Friday. Ordered 5x30ml from Vamp Vape so need to get it right before I mess the good stuff up.

Jungle Juice is by Flavor West, average percent is around 10% if I remember correctly.

Skittles (I'm assuming FW again) - that's around 9% average.

I don't think Capella make a Blackcurrant concentrate, I believe TFA (The Flavour Apprentice) do though? - you'll want that at around 5%

I'm going to go with it needs more steeping. 3 days ain't a lot. Might need a bit more shaking too, VG doesn't always mix too well and takes a bit of time to mix right.

It's strange as the Flavour is not strong at all, just a very dry and harsh Vape. You cannot Vape it in my TFV4 without coughing loads. If anything it almost needs more % concentrate but lower nicotine but 3mg has always been very good for me.

Brilliant site thanks, what I will do is do a 9% mix 5ml total with no nicotine then add 1mg each time and see where it goes. Hopefully I can start to use them correctly.

Just looking at the Vampire Vape stuff I bought that seem to suggest 10-15% I'll try stick with the the minimum and little test bottles rather than full 30ml and 100ml etc..

Get something like a Sub Box Nano with some 1.2Ohm coils don't need to go sub. Brilliant mod and upgrade from an Aerotank, will make vaping enjoyable again, when the time comes you can drop a 0.5ohm in there and enjoy

Buy 50ml of the same juice but 0nic, mix them both up and you have (roughly) 100ml at 6mg which is fine for sub

Quite sure the Crius V3 is my new fave tank, the vape is just so damn smooth I can't put it down.

X Cube 2 with an TFV4 S6 Coil @0.40 80w Got a few RBAs but prefer the Stock Smok coils.

I enjoy the Sub Box Nano its s brilliant little device. Perfect size and weight to be portable.

Aromamizer arrived today! Turned up just before I had to drive to uni so I slapped a quick couple of claptons in there, instantly better than my Lemo 2, but still lacking a bit on flavour and needed 120W just to get a warm thick vape. Since I got back, I've plonked a pair of vertical triple twisted titanium coils in it, 24 AWG, 4.5 wraps, 2.5mm ID, comes out at 0.03 ohms which is crazy low, but with 120W preheat and at 285C, it hovers nicely at ~60W mid-draw. Flavour is , that same "droplets of juice" flavour as a dripper, and the tank keeps up with chaining high VG no problem. Very easy to build on, very easy to wick, dead chuffed!

Very thankful for this thread, every recommendation/purchase has been stellar!

It does sound like too much concentrate. I intentionally dropped the nic % of my home mix due to it being horribly scratchy and uncomfortable on the throat when used in a Subtank, and it really had no difference at all on that side of the experience.

Probably because I loaded everything with flavouring. Less is probably more, in most cases.
