So, tried my hand at claptoning, the drill/free spinning mounted chuck combo makes it so easy.

Was running low on .25mm though so only just got enough to make one coil, came out 0.29ohms but its a really nice vape, was hell getting the wires down though and its spitting (albeit smoothly) below 40w.

Not to self, get more wire
 
Hooray my FT package that's in Beijing, is not in Beijing, it's in my possession :D

My derringer and smpl combo arrived from royalvapeproducts too, lovely little thing, got a 0.4ohm build in it, lowest airflow, brilliant. Think I'm sold on mechs already, tiny and pack a big punch :)

I love the simplicity of using a mech. Love the flush buttons on my MCR mods as well, means I don't have to think about lock rings
 
Yeah the simplicity is a big seller for me, I usually vape kanthal or ss in power mode any way, haven't touched tc in a while so can see me getting more mechs in the future.

Quick quite possibly dumb/noobish question...the mechs I have just now are all direct to the battery positive, so no 510 pin on the mods, the only things I shouldn't use are things with replaceable coils correct? From what I read anyway. But I am safe enough with an rta with a pre fit deck I.e. crius?

Depends entirely on the 510 pin on the atty. Do a little research into hybrid mech safety.

In short you have to absolutely make sure the positive pin on the atty is protruding otherwise when you screw it down the 510 will short across the top of the battery
 
Yeah you sound like your mechs are all Hybrid connections, so only use atties with a 510 that protrudes well past the negative threads to avoid a hard short and instant batty venting.

Ive got an Authentic Lowpro with squonk pin on its way to me... :)
 
Checked my usual attys, all protrude, I guess this is where adjustable 510's come in as so important :)

E: Chucked a build in the Kennedy V2 (22mm, 'real' V2, bottom side airflow not underneath). Dual 10 wrap 22awg SS316, reading out around the 0.16ohm mark (don't worry its not on a mech :)). A very very good RDA IMO, post holes are huge, must be around 5mm+, building was very easy, juice well is stupidly deep, airflow is good, no whistle and with the airflow spouts being machined away from the edge of the deck I get next to no dribble from the air slots.

The kennedy 24 clone I got isn't quite as good, though I've not built on it yet. The post holes (IMO) need drilled out a little, a bit on the small side for such a big deck, the brass cap on the inside looks like it needs a good clean, some black spots appearing. Looks damn sexy on the brass AV Able clone I got with it though :D

New mod ahoy!

Hcigar VT133 to join my growing collection of DNA200 device. Very impressed with this one. The build quality feels much more like the old VT40 did rather than the rather disappointing VT200.

Still no Mini Volt, I swear it's been lost in the post, but the vendor wont do anything about it until 7 working days have passed after posting which is fair enough.

Grr. I want a new toy!

Managed to shift almost all the kit I was selling off suprisingly fast, plenty of room for new shinies :D

HELP!!!

My iStick 100W has just, this minute, broke! And I am desperately looking for a new Mod.
I hit a Dripper at 0.3 Ohms, Generally at 60-75 Watts.

I need a new Mod, can anyone suggest what to buy and where to buy from?

The cheapest place to buy the likes of the istick and other cheap china mods is Fasttech, but they are closed till the 14th, so you are gonna have to pay horrible UK imported prices.

If you were happy with the Istick then stick with it and buy another, or step up to the newer Kanger 70w or 120W TC boxes.
If you want one of the Best for battery life, TC and future proofing, the Reuleaux is a bargain:

But you will need Three 18650 high drain cells, like the Samsung 25R or 30Q and preferably an external charger though you can charge in the mod, it will take Ages.

A Joyetech Cuboid would be a good shout. Lots of features and not too expensive. Supports TC with all sorts of wires.
 
Good shout Rilot, though im still not 100% on the Joyetech chip, it wont be any worse than the istick 100 and it is a solid mod, i have a m8 who got one last week, rather heavy but compact and sleek.

And I have found it for £40! That is perfect for my budget

And thanks Tweak for your advice. I have seen the 120 Kanger, I almost pushed the button on this earlier!
