I've been removing wick, washing the juice, dry burning (have to get it wile hot to cook it off, nearly white) then air cooling, brushing off the dust with a toothbrush, repeating a couple of times, re wicking, then an 8min session in the ultrasonic with some milton to get rid of that "new cotton" taste then ready to go again.

Shame its just gonna have to be that way, at least the wire is lasting well just the wicks when i remove mostly still look mint, wish i didnt have to bin them (not enough to pull through easily once theyve been trimmed to fit)

Might do a re coil soon, get some ni200 clapton made up and try it, might do spaced see if that makes a difference.

If you blow hard on the coil, the white flakes should just blow off, coils heat up red not white, when I do see white, it's normally a layer of ash.

I have never needed to use a brush to clean the coil, using miltons will mess up your o rings over long term. That new cotton taste is just down to the cotton you are using, I can't taste it with the stuff I use, unless I over wick.
 
I found a cure for my funny tasting fresh wicks, i use Latex gloves and now ive just received my order of finger Cots... Latex again, these prevent the transfer of any skin grease when you work the cotton, not had any funny tastes since i started doing this.

Red then orange then nearly to white, anything less and the crud stays unfortunately.

Milton has been bleaching my o rings, but ive stopped using it every time i fill, just when re wicking, not caused any leaks yet. Ironically the rings on my current main tank have been seized onto the glass since i got it, cant get the glass off without breaking it but as long as it doesnt leak im cool with leaving it stuck on there.

What i tend to get after dry burning is orange ash/possibly rust on the coils, a good hard brushing brings them up like new though.
 
Don't know about you guys but my wicks seem to last forever. I'm still using the wicks in my aromamizer from three weeks ago, and they look fresh and vape fine, despite me vaping ~20ml a day. I believe rayon helps, though I'm positive it's down to using FA flavours, as my friends (also using rayon after I converted them) still get gunk buildup in a few days or so using TFA/Capella flavoured or shop bought liquids.
 
yeah how much gunk build up is all down to the juice... wick liquor is clean, streek from lost fog aint bad either, but sugar drizzle is terrible...
 
That was posted to reddit the other day, I like how sky fail to mention he was carrying an 18650 cell, unprotected, loose, in a pocket of change to cause the vent, they also left out the statement from the guy on fire saying he screwed up and it was his own fault.

99.9% of people would not have a clue what you where on about though so all ecigs are pipe bombs to them now.
 
They wouldn't you're correct, but it's the media's duty to inform people, not leave out vital information and put such a twist on it to force perspective that we're all walking round with a volatile nuclear arsenal in our pockets :D

Media coverage of vaping ****es me off something chronic, they'd rather a nation of heroin addicts then vapers.
 
Hi guys, has anyone had any mail issues from FastTech lately? I ordered some stuff on the 13th aware that there would be a little delay due to holidays. Though I still have no items and no shipped update. :/
There is no batteries in the order and everything was classed as in stock.
 
Odd question (with a long back story), has anyone tried Pink Spot Rip Tide? If so, how would you describe the flavour?

Long boring back story :
I tried some from local B&M about a year ago and really liked it, but it was expensive. Bought some concentrate from Chefs Vapour and mixed my own, all good.

Bought some more concentrate a couple of months ago and the concentrate is no longer pink, now orange\brown and tasted like pie\biscuit base. Just ordered another load and of five bottles of concentrate, three are orange\brown, two are yellow in colour. All of which don't taste like I remember (more pie\cinamon, no menthol).

Chefs Vapour seem to think it's legit and now I'm questioning my taste buds.

Notbing scares the bejesus out of the layman than something he cant understand.

The very idea nearly everyone in this country regularly carries around lipo batteries in their pockets inside mobiles etc without exploding is something they cant understand.

If i had a penny for every time someone in work tries to tell me vaping gives you cancer faster than smoking then i'd be paid enough to bother answering that question.

Might cancel the pair of doge v3 clones I've got ordered with FT, been on order since end of Jan, now says 'restocking' and has done for the last 10 days or so.

Can't decide if I want the tsunami or the soon to be released mx v4s, a v4 mutation x with velocity deck...
 
Hey guys. Currently still using the Aromamizer with the velocity style deck on the Sigelei 100w. I've got a case of shinyitis and would like to get something else. I occasionally pull out the Mut X v4 for dripping, but can't decide what to get next. It seems so many tanks have come out lately! I am looking at the Aspire Cleito right now, but see that there's an Aromamizor v2 out with a wider bore drip tip. Also, a new mod wouldn't go amiss, but I don't want to spend loads so have been looking at the Wismec Reuleux rx200.

Any thoughts?
